Pretty fair deal, it's a good mower. Last year, Lowes had the 60V Selp Propelled version with a 5 Ah battery for $159. Great deal, I bought one for my GF. I have the 80V push version, and it does a pretty good job. The main downside is that it does not suck up and mulch as well as my old gas mower. I believe because they have designed the blade with less lift to extend the battery run time.

I agree. It's a newer design with dual battery compartments, self propelled, plus a 5 Ah battery...worth the extra $50 IMHO.

The 5ah is good, but not sure why anyone needs a self propelled battery operated mower. I have the 80v Kobalt and I can easily push that with one hand.

Depends on the terrain. I am in good shape, and my yard is mostly flat, so the push mower is fine for me. My GF's yard is two levels, she is petite and the SP feature is a big help for her. One size doesn't fit all.

She is a Master Gardener, very independent, and enjoys doing it herself. She was thrilled with her "New Toy".hug

get it while it's hot. one has to wonder how much longer Lowes will sell Greenworks (which I love - having their full set of 60V lawn tools) now that they brought Ego on board...

Why, is it not politically correct?

Depends on the terrain and the mower. Mine has a metal deck so is still pretty heavy. And the yard has some very steep/sometimes wet hills. While i did it for years with a $100 gas mower you really, really had to dig your toes in in some places and ram it up a few sections. The self propelled one pulls itself up those same spots/through bumpy/rough sections of the yard and through high grass or muddy sections. Which is extremely nice especially in heat/humidity. I still push it through most of the flat areas to save some juice and i can still push it with one hand so.... why not.

Got excited and started thinking about buying another mower and selling my old one, but this is the non self propelled version. I have last year's model which doesn't have dual compartment and lights.
My terrain is not flat and has many dips and hills. On my most lazy days, the SP feature is great and keeps a nice even pace. Normally, just pushing it is fine.
