The Galaxy J2 seems to pale in comparison to the Moto e5 that was $40 a week ago with the same service.

This is 16 GB Tracfone, while that week was just 1.5 GB.

16 GB > 1.5 GB. 16 GB is OK for a month for me, while 1,5 GB is not enough.

Is there a way to tell what carrier/network is used for this phone? Bought a tracfone a while back and would not activate for a relative--turns out there were no t-mobile towers in her area so simply could not use it.

To each his own. For many Tracfone users, 1.5 GB is completely adequate.

Only T-Mobile Tracfone bundle I've ever seen was the old Fiesta 2 BOGO deal from the TF eBay store -
Bundles almost always use Verizon.

The 16GB refers to the phones memory, whereas the 1.5gb was referring to the amount of data service.

I got a deal like this a year ago, works great for my starting middle schooler. the one year expiry date works fine for us.

Should I get this deal, just for the minutes, or is there a slicker way to get a same type deal for another year (keeping same Phone#)? I dont need the phone.
