I say wait for all films to be released in 4K unless these aren't MA and you're fine hoping for the upgrade from iTunes.

Not sure what you are saying. This bundle on Vudu is FP, so people are interested in buying it now. To me it makes more sense to buy at iTunes for $5 more to get the 4K but YMMV.

This is the same old game we've been getting from studios for years now. We buy something now that is on the eve of getting a 4k update (probably within just a year or two).

Unless someone is bent on getting these now or doesn't care about the fact that most are only HD, I'd recommend waiting until the bundle is fully released in 4k.

I purchased Inception on iTunes years ago before the concept of 4k. It's marked as 4k title in my library

I wonder how much 4K even makes a difference on older titles.

If you purchase via iTunes, your movies will automatically be upgraded for free on iTunes (however not ported to other providers in 4K when they upgrade) when they finally go 4K. So if iTunes is your primary platform, no need to wait for a 4K release since you get upgraded the day the 4K goes live.

Yep, if iTunes is your primary or only platform (or you don't care about 4k -I find most 4k films are better than HD), then perhaps this deal is for you.

It makes an astronomical difference since these were all shot on basically limitless resolution film stock.

Most modern movies are shot 2k digital and up-rezzed.

Also, remember the 99 cent rule. If a bundle ends with 99 cent on iTunes, it will only transfer the HD rights to MA.

Odd that the Birds isn't offered in 4K given that it just released on a set earlier this month.

Is the 99 cent rule true?
