Amazon has a similar Switch travel hard case with a built-in sleeve for 21 game carts, instead of the removable plastic cart cases (looks like the RDS cases only store 8 game carts). It's currently $23.99 after you clip the $2 coupon. Prime shipping included.

Here's a video review for the RDS travel case [youtube.com]. I don't like how its cut-out slot for the console only protects the bottom half of the console, exposing the top half to wobble around in the case, while the Kootek case's foam cut-outs envelope nearly the entire console.
Thanks for letting us know you'll wait 2.5 months in hopes a random accessory will be on sale.

I was just about to share this too. The official one has too many poor reviews saying the handle breaks.

RDS model will fit the Grip stand where as this Kootek model will not if that matters for anyone.

Bought your recommendation too. I have purchased a cheaper one than the RDS but has the same issue. no foam covering the whole system and dock. Still thumbs up on the RDS though as it's still a good deal.

This case is by far the best case made for Switch.

It fits EVERYTHING that comes with the system and I got the smaller light travel case and it just doesn't do the deed like this one.

it's worth every penny and when those pennies are saved by $10 off it is a great deal.

P.S. don't wait till black Friday - You won't get it any cheaper than this. I have only seen this on sale 2 or 3 times and always was $25-$27. Gamestop and Target were the only places to ever put it on sale. Amazon may price compete but still won't go under $25. I will wager $25 on that

Yeah never understood they rational to save an extra $5-10. We're not talking about laptops or TVs here. Plus if you're patient to wait that long, you don't need it in the first place.

That's literally the point.

Someone may not need it so they're not willing to spend $27 for it but might be open to purchasing it (even if they don't need it) at $17-$22.
