Performance Comparison- Water Resistance: Neoprene provides natural waterproof performance via its closed-cell foam. Polyester repels moisture lightly but can absorb water or leak through weaves unless specially treated.
- Breathability & Weight: Polyester offers high airflow and a very light feel. Neoprene is thick, traps heat, and lacks breathability.
- Durability & Stretch: Neoprene stretches significantly (200–500%) and absorbs impact, making it tough against friction and physical stress. Polyester offers lower stretch (5–15%) but handles UV exposure, frequent washing, and abrasion very effectively.
