most desks i find are way too small for my liking, i bought a dining room table and its still small, only 60in x 42, really need a 72 or 84in table for a dual monitor setup like i want. Because i refuse to have my tower on the floor lol
You should get butcher block countertop from Home Depot.. you will have to again and seal it but it is 72"x39" and it looks beautiful.
I just got that one and it works great! Very stable, nice controls. I got one of the clamping monitor stands too, but there's no way the glass won't break. One of the two has to go.
I vinyl wrapped mine in a matte black, still can't clamp on the glass top but no more gross shiney glass finger print magnet. My Tresanti also makes an audible noise when plugged in, high pitch squel/whine, I unplug and replay when I want to go up and down, bit of a pain but the noise is more annoying
I went the route of buying separate standing desk legs similar to this and a ikea countertop years ago. Never looked back. Also some might call me crazy but I never attached the countertop to the legs, so it makes for easy detachment as I've had to move a few times. The countertop is heavy enough and long enough where it just needs to sit atop the legs.
I bought a couple of these for the office about a year and a half ago, bought them open box amazon warehouse for 170- 180 or so. Worked great so far. I liked these better than Tresani from Costco cause the top height is taller, I'm 6'4 and raise to its maximum height, it looks really tall but fits me just how I like it. Also I have a dual monitor clamp with 2 24" monitors and an ikea cheap table top and the thing is solid even at max height.
Edit: nvm this is the one I bought: VIVO Black Electric Stand Up Desk Frame Workstation, Single Motor Ergonomic Standing Height Adjustable Base (DESK-V102E) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071KGD...wFbN2XDFS2

will have to "again" what and seal it...sand it? Stain it?
ha ha ha.. sorry dude - needed another cup of coffee. I only lightly sanded it but yes had to stain it. You don't have to stain it if you don't want particular color, you can just seal it with natural oil or water based poly.
These are probably all made by the same Chinese OEM. I have a f-l-ex-I-s-p-o-t that looks identical, using a 74" IKEA Karlby top on it but it's "maximum width" suggests 62". I have no problems. I also use dual 32" monitors, a 35" ultra wide, and a 27" 4K and have my 40lb PC on the desk. Wobbles a bit going up to max height, that's reasonable given the fact I am exceeding the specs.
