This is $10 less than the front page light ring from earlier this week. Nice.

If you had to do online meetings, this would be pretty nice and inexpensive option.

Ridiculous why would one need this? Seems pretty vain
I bought this thinking it will help with online meetings where I need to show my face without holding phone in my hand ! If it is trash, I'll return.

Seems like a reasonable use case. Can this light also serve as a practical desk light?

Practical? No. Too big / bulky / cumbersome. You can easily find a better desk light for a few bucks at any thrift store.

That was little larger at 12" and came with a real tripod instead of the puny thing this has. Not sure that justifies additional $8, but for some that might be worth the cost.
