I'm still waiting on my $125 bonus for the HSBC account. The bonus was promised within 60 business days there too. I'm currently on day 74.
Also, don't expect a response from slickdeals. I sent multiple emails and have yet to get a reply
update 1 (9/13/20):
Finally did get a response from slickdeals. Had to submit proof that I opened the account. Still waiting for my bonus
update 2 (9/21/20):
Still no bonus and no response from slickdeals after providing proof that the account was opened. I won't ever make the mistake of falling for one of these scams again.
update 3 (10/2/20):
Still no bonus. 8 days ago Slickdeals told me to wait until the end of this week for the bonus to show in my account. It has now been 86 business days of the 60 that they promised.
update 4 10/7/20
Finally got my bonus.
It only took three emails to [email protected], sending additional proof that I opened the HSBC account and a long wait of 127 days or 89 business days. I definitely will never be doing one of these slickdeal rebates ever again.
Looks like a hard pull. I've got my bureaus frozen and it tried to get to Experian. You can't open an account without it.
Already did it direct for $125

If it's hard for someone to google "high yield checking account", I guess SoFi is a good option.
And if you don't want to jump through requirement hoops like with Red Neck bank and others? How much are you even keeping in a checking account anyways for any length of time? The interest is borderline negligible since it's a Spend account
I get 4% with T-Mobile Money Checking, up to $3,000 balance. You have to pay for checks, it has significantly fewer features than SoFi Money, it doesn't interface with any Financial tracking software, the list goes on. I get $10/mo in interest from that T-Mobile Money account. It requires that you ACH in (or direct deposit in) $200/mo. Definitely not a significant requirement, but others like Red Neck and Varo require 15-25 debit card transactions and cap promo rate on $10,000 balance
If you are chasing pathetic checking account yield, you are in the wrong place

Examples of checking account requirements to get "high yield" on limited balances
Requirements to earn the high APY: You must meet following requirements: 1) enroll in e-Statements, 2) make a monthly direct deposit of at least $250 3) make 12 visa debit card purchases per month that are a minimum of $5 each and 4) make three bill payments per month, of at least $20 each, using Market USA's Bill Pay service.
Requirements to earn the highest APY: You must complete the following items each month: 1) have at least one direct deposit into your account, 2) be enrolled in e-statements and 3) have at least 10 debit card purchases of $5 or more posted in each statement cycle.

How are they tracking the $125 transfer if it takes 2-3 days to confirm the external account ? Ugh. I knew this was a bad idea. I got a blank screen on the link account part after the 3rd try it linked an external cap 1 account but its 2-3 days to confirm.
Have Samsung Money (by SoFi) and SoFi Invest; haven't really used the ATM feature with SoFi Money, mainly signed up for being able to convert $100 worth of Samsung Rewards points into cash... SoFi Invest is alright, but it doesn't seem as instant purchase/sell like Robinhood or Webull, though I use SoFi Invest as a continuous buying of select ETFs every week, so not much of an issue.
Referral programs aren't that great, $50 for anyone that sign up SoFi Money or Invest and requires like $500 minimum for Money and $1,000 for Invest.
Yeah they changed partner banks from Wilmington Trust to Bancorp. That was a huge PITA. Another issue is they don't have all of the bill payees that other banks have. For example I can't find chase consumer credit cards, not on their list. Just Chase Manhattan Bank but that didn't work for one of my chase credit cards. I contacted support and they didn't know what to do. Other than that I like it a lot. I use the Vault feature for spending budgeting , so it's like having cash envelopes but digitally . I also like that their ATM limit is higher than most ($600)
Why not just do it through Chase? That's how I've done mine.
Can we use this SOFI account to convert samsung credit to cash
Only if you have a Samsung Pay compatible phone; sign up for Samsung Money by SoFi. You're only allow to convert up to $100 point and that's once only.
If it's hard for someone to google "high yield checking account", I guess SoFi is a good option.
Most others I've seen require you to jump through hoops around things like number of debit card transactions a month. No hoops, no fees and atm refunds makes up for the 0.25%. shouldn't have that much money in a checking account where it should matter anyway.

I have 300$ samsung.com credit not Samsung reward points jut to make sure. If possible to convert the sasmung credit to cash
I was a big fan of sofi but they dropped their interest rate so much it's not competitive anymore.
I also had their investing. It was usually fast but sometimes took a lot of time to buy and sell stock. It felt a bit bare bones too.
I do think they will have a robust offering over time as they really seem to be trying to ramp up. If their rates ever become competitive again I'll consider using them again.

I did email them that information 3 times. Within 6 hours of posting in this thread slickdeals finally responded and they are looking into it. They asked for more proof that I signed up for HSBC account.
