I'm still waiting on my $125 bonus for the HSBC account. The bonus was promised within 60 business days there too. I'm currently on day 74.
Also, don't expect a response from slickdeals. I sent multiple emails and have yet to get a reply
update 1 (9/13/20):
Finally did get a response from slickdeals. Had to submit proof that I opened the account. Still waiting for my bonus
update 2 (9/21/20):
Still no bonus and no response from slickdeals after providing proof that the account was opened. I won't ever make the mistake of falling for one of these scams again.
update 3 (10/2/20):
Still no bonus. 8 days ago Slickdeals told me to wait until the end of this week for the bonus to show in my account. It has now been 86 business days of the 60 that they promised.
update 4 10/7/20
Finally got my bonus.
It only took three emails to [email protected], sending additional proof that I opened the HSBC account and a long wait of 127 days or 89 business days. I definitely will never be doing one of these slickdeal rebates ever again.
Looks like a hard pull. I've got my bureaus frozen and it tried to get to Experian. You can't open an account without it.
Already did it direct for $125

Why not just do it through Chase? That's how I've done mine.
i would rather have 1 place where my bill payments are initiated from
otherwise i will have to log into all of my accounts across all credit cards, utilities, verizon fios, tax payments, etc. it makes it easier to send the payment from 1 place, than do a pull from a dozen places
the routing number change was a pain. Have been trying for a few months to link my SoFi acct to my T-Mobile Money acct but all the small deposits T-Mobile Money is making is disappearing into a black hole or something, have tried to do this about 5x now. SoFi says to double check the routing and acct number and has no other resolution smh.
I did try to put in the old Wilmington Trust routing number instead and T-Mobile Money instantly knows that's an invalid routing number so the only one it will accept is the Bancorp routing number but none of the small deposits are showing up.
Had no problems linking T-Mobile Money to my SoFi acct tho... so currently I can only transfer SoFi to T-Mobile Money, but I can't send T-Mobile Money to SoFi smh
anyone know if i can use rfid atm's with sofi account? I currently have bofa and the rfid phone as an atm access instead of card option has been priceless for me. i always forget my wallet but i never forget my phone.

You can load the SoFi Debit Mastercard into a virtual wallet for payments. SoFi doesn't own an ATM network and RFID access doesn't exist ATM. Gotta use EMV chip or mag stripe.
People are calling that because SD rebates are generally problematic based on comments. No experience myself.
That is not what the person was talking about at all. But as you said, their rebates are often described as problematic. Keep in mind that most of the folks who get them won't bother commenting because that is how it should be.
At least SD seems to work with folks when there are issues. The gripe I have is that there is no way to verify the acceptance of our rebates. You either get paid or you have to follow up with SD after the standard waiting period. Most rebates have better transparency, such as a notification of acceptance or declination, and a reason why. I hope they are considering this improvement.
Still waiting on my HSBC bonus, too. 70 business days and counting. I think this is actually the first SD rebate that I've had trouble with, but it's also the biggest. Sent off an email, and maybe posting here will help light a fire.

If you have a freeze on your account soft pulls will fail too. They still use Experian for a soft pull. I know, I used to work there.
Sofi is not a bank. They utilize banks to "sweep" money into accounts. These is all done on the backend so you won't notice a difference on your end.

Thumbs down for that reason solely.
Sofi is ok otherwise.
So you must had your PayPal account for only a year or two then? Why did they keep freezing your PayPal account?
Is the point to dollar conversion same (pathetic 50%) as on samsung site when redeemed for purchasing?
