I'm still waiting on my $125 bonus for the HSBC account. The bonus was promised within 60 business days there too. I'm currently on day 74.
Also, don't expect a response from slickdeals. I sent multiple emails and have yet to get a reply

update 1 (9/13/20):
Finally did get a response from slickdeals. Had to submit proof that I opened the account. Still waiting for my bonus

update 2 (9/21/20):
Still no bonus and no response from slickdeals after providing proof that the account was opened. I won't ever make the mistake of falling for one of these scams again.

update 3 (10/2/20):
Still no bonus. 8 days ago Slickdeals told me to wait until the end of this week for the bonus to show in my account. It has now been 86 business days of the 60 that they promised.

update 4 10/7/20
Finally got my bonus.
It only took three emails to [email protected], sending additional proof that I opened the HSBC account and a long wait of 127 days or 89 business days. I definitely will never be doing one of these slickdeal rebates ever again.
Looks like a hard pull. I've got my bureaus frozen and it tried to get to Experian. You can't open an account without it.
Already did it direct for $125

Still no response. I was careful when I signed up and took screenshots. No response whatsoever.

Looks like BBB complaint is the only way to get someone to look into this.

Still nothing. Sent them another email and will open BBB complaint if they are denying again.
I opened a complaint with BBB beginning of April. They responded by the end of April basically stating I didn't send them supporting documents and other lies. I replied again and just last week the $75 showed up in my PayPal. I wouldn't wait, just go to BBB and start the process.

Yep, I sent them all the documentation. They don't care. I will wait another week then file a complaint with BBB.

This appeared to be the most sketchy of the last 5 slickdeals or so, and I decided not to get in on it. Still no details on how long the account needs to be open to keep the $125 or $75 of kohls rewards cash. As I said in a prior post, chase, bbva, bank of america, and that HHSA bank from china all worked for me, but it did not seem worth it to chance it this time. Chase needed to be open for 6 months with a direct deposit, but this sofi deal looked sketchy to me, so I decided against it. Plus sofi regularly spams my home mailbox with worthless student loan refinancing offers and refuses to stop despite multiple requests. Another thing to point out is that the slickdeals hhsa deal last year took forever to process, even though I completed it on the first day. Anyways, I came back here to reconsider this deal and saw it was expired, but I am glad I did not do this.

Hi there,

We have sunsetted our old rebates program and have introduced the Slickdeals Rewards program since then. You can learn more about it here. Our new Slickdeals Rewards program that we're building out is to provide cashback and never do another old-style rebate again. This is indeed automatic tracking so as long as the steps in the deal instructions are followed there are 0 issues. This differs from the Slickdeals Rebates Program and strives to solve many of the issues you may have encountered in the past. You can check the new So-Fi thread here.
