They're both made by Jasco.

Not much info about these, will they turn on/off a motor? I need to create some automation between my attic fan and whole house fan.

If these are the Z5 switches, the on/off will handle 1/2 HP motors, which is pretty typical for these.

If you need more power, look at a Zooz ZWave Relay. The 20A @110v can handle 2.5HP, if on a 20A 220V circuit you can run 5HP

These Jasco switches are known to just stop working (possibly after power failure). It happened to one of my switches while my Zooz switches have been fine.

Yes, but they are good about replacing them with proof of purchase.

Just had 3 replaced a week ago

Were you within warranty? Also, it's a PITA to remove and replace switches.

Yes unfortunately I've had 2 go bad and at this point I doubt I have the receipt. How did you go about getting a replacement? Who did you contact?

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to swap out a switch for the same one, takes about five minutes, let's get real. For vast majority of people doing it they know how to do it already since this is a niche item.

Jasco's customer support. Follow the trail via jasco or GE and you'll get there. Had to provide receipt, which I had from lowes online

Still a pita. I have one more to do but hate the whole finding the circuit breaker, figuring out which switch it is, deleting it from hub, reinstalling switch, turning on breaker, reinstalling to hub, then deleting old instance from Amazon, then re adding to group and readding to amazon.

Without a doubt if all goes well it's still a wasted hour or 90 minutes

It's not about knowing how to replace it. The pain is in cutting the power, unscrewing everything, making sure wires are connected properly, fitting everything back in place, etc. It's a hassle.
