For those looking for an alternative for Wine Spectator, you can pick it up for free from RecycleBank (reliable freebie source).

No cc information is taken, no auto-renew.

You complete tasks on the RecycleBank site to earn points that you can redeem for subscription(s). It doesn't take long…

Wine Spectator Magazine
https://www.recyclebank.com/recyc...ssues-8619

Whatever source you use for subscribing (DM, RecycleBank etc), you can extend a current subscription. If you are trying to do so, be sure to use the EXACT same name/addy information that is on your current mailing label. If you aren't sure...you can log into your subscription account at the magazine website to verify your information.

Subscription Account Login at Wine Spectator Magazine
https://sub.winespectator.com/pub...6353&vid=1

If, despite using the same information, you start to receive duplicates, you can resolve the issue by sending a message to customer service via your account at the magazine specific website (see link above).

I like it... much better than Sky & Telescope that I first tried few years back. Like @Princeman quoted above, it covers wide range of topics including new discoveries and research. Plus it covers "sky this month" that helps you plan. It doesn't focus on new consumer telescopes and instruments, if that's what you are looking for. Even advertisements are limited (one of the reasons I like this magazine).

How this helps.

Btw... This seems to be the best price recently. Last time I had renewed it at $14.

I would say it's for a hobbyist/amateur. It doesn't get into too much of theory, and tries to explain in layman terms, but still may be a little too advanced for a 3rd grader.

As someone who is fascinated by space rather than stargazing is this up my alley?

Yes, I would say Astronomy magazine is more focused on the space science than stargazing. I read it for years before I got curious and started researching telescopes...I bought one and now I'm in it for the stargazing too!

This is one of the few mag subscription sites I trust. Your can turn off autorenew and they really don't continue the sub like other sites.
