This was a great game. If you play it, take a few moments during your journey to admire the scenery and the variety of environments as you explore. I really liked the fall/autumn area with the colorful leaves. The shrines usually offer great views when you get the top.
Also, the load times are extremely fast.
This game is fantastic for awhile, then it gets repetitive. I still finished it, but lost interest in the side missions when there was nothing new that made it worth my while.
The problem of open world games, you don't have a linear storyboad that guides you to keep you interest. Which is why MGS for example were all great for 1-4 as 5 is a bit too freedom, but I still love 5 as much, but to some it might feel that way. I don't.

Thanks for finding this deal. It seems there's been no sale on new copies so tempted to get this since used gamefly disks are usually in pretty good shape. But the closer we get to black friday the more I want to hold off on buying games and movies.

Almost like any of these type of games right? The batman arkham series, spiderman, etc. I always feel like these games drag on.

I actually liked MGSV a lot, each of the bases was relaxing to stealth through and steal all their crap lol.

I think when done well discovering the story in the open world games can be amazing like in rdr2. Unlike ac odyssey or ghost recon or just cause that definitely get repetitive half way through

Wildlands 1 was great, even it's open world, it's somewhat linear. I didn't expect I would care and understand the story in this game but I did, since I mostly play games for gameplay not story, but they made me care for the story, however, breakpoint was trash. So true, if done right. though I still have high hopes in this game, will pick it up when it's cheaper. since I love japanese theme especially samurai.
Dunno, lots of open world games don't feel "repetitive." Skyrim, Witcher 3 are great examples. Even God of War PS4 even tho not exactly completely open world, was amazing start to finish.
