It's 4 years since receiving the sign up bonus.
You have to wait 4 years since opening the first one before you can get another.
The application date or the card open date doesn't matter. What matters is the date that you received the sign-up bonus. That date is probably the closing date of the statement in which it was awarded to you.

For example, if you met the minimum spend for the sign up bonus in the first month the card was opened, the statement closing date was probably October or November 2016. If you met the minimum spend in the 3rd month that the card was opened, then the bonus may have been awarded in January or even February - again, depends on the statement closing date. You can check your first few statements in that account to know for sure.

Wow!!!! I signed up for the reserve back in oct 2016. It's almost 4 years. I hope this offer sticks around long enough. What's the rule for how long till i can get the bonus again? 4 years after the last time I gotten a bonus from the sapphire family?

Yes, 4 years from bonus posting/statement date and you should not have a current
sapphire card.

Nice bonus for a good card, but that's pretty restrictive!

Dang. When did I get my bonus for my reserve?

Do they still expedite shipping of the card if you are approved and you call and ask them to? Wonder if it can make it here in time before the Nvidia RTX 3080 orders begin. Also, would getting this card prevent you from getting the signup bonus for the Sapphire Reserve in the future?

I called and got my bonus from the 100k SlickDeal in 2016 and am over the 48 months. BUT still have a Reserve so don't qualify. That said, confirmed your Spouse Can as long as they didn't get a bonus in the past 48 and aren't a secondary. And was told you can transfer points within the household so can move the new bonus into your primary Ultimate account. Take luck!

Nice!! They pulled a fast one on me with the 100,000 points for the Bonvoy Boundless card a month after I signed up for it for the regular 75,000 bonus deal.
I'm glad I waited until this deal for the Sapphire Preferred.
Thanks OP!

So if I am an authorized user on another Sapphire account I would not be eligible for this offer?

I tried that with the Bonvoy Boundless. And that was only a month apart. They couldn't care less about my frustration.

But the 4 year limit is from the time you earned the last bonus.
