It's 4 years since receiving the sign up bonus.
You have to wait 4 years since opening the first one before you can get another.
The application date or the card open date doesn't matter. What matters is the date that you received the sign-up bonus. That date is probably the closing date of the statement in which it was awarded to you.

For example, if you met the minimum spend for the sign up bonus in the first month the card was opened, the statement closing date was probably October or November 2016. If you met the minimum spend in the 3rd month that the card was opened, then the bonus may have been awarded in January or even February - again, depends on the statement closing date. You can check your first few statements in that account to know for sure.

was about to sign up for the freedom flex for the signup bonus, but might take this and just do a product change on my freedom to freedom flex. thoughts?
You should NEVER ever jump on an offer for just $200. The 80K points are worth $1,000 (25% more) on Chase Ultimate Rewards.

Do you know if Chase accepts Pastiq as an eligible spend?

The 80k deal to me is worth at least 1200(800*1.5)-95 = 1105.
I got the Freedom Unlimited, which is worth 900 (first year grocery 5%*1.5)+300= 1200
So based on my spending pattern the CFU is slightly ahead, not by much.
But Freedom is one card for most so in reality more useful to me than CSP, which would have to stay in a drawer for at least a year before I can product change to something else...

I called and got my bonus from the 100k SlickDeal in 2016 and am over the 48 months. BUT still have a Reserve so don't qualify. That said, confirmed your Spouse Can as long as they didn't get a bonus in the past 48 and aren't a secondary. And was told you can transfer points within the household so can move the new bonus into your primary Ultimate account. Take luck!

Why don't you just cancel/convert the reserve so you are Sapphire free?

So if my bonus posted on the statement that reads 11/19/2016 to 12/18/16. Statement due 1/15/2017. Should mean I am eligible for this 80k bonus in January?

If I cancel my Reserve, that'll forfeit my points, yeah? As I can't even apply for the Preferred until I'm Reserve free, that doesn't really work, does it?

General question:

I use my email address for my Chase accounts. If I want my wife to sign up for this offer, can I use my own e-mail address but her information? If yes, will this be an issue when combining points which is allowed under Chase Rewards?

Why don't you use the "Pay Yourself back" feature in Ultimate Rewards web site and get 1.5 cents for every point as a credit towards grocery purchases. I blew out my entire balance of points in this way.

You can then downgrade your CSR to the no annual fee Chase Flex card and be "Reserve-free".

Actually the opposite multiple hard pulls near the same time count as one pull towards your FICO score. This also means the new accounts will not be new at around the same time, which is actually good too. The problem is Chase might deny you for the simple fact that they just recently approved you.

Damn it. Shouldn't have jumped the gun on applying for the Flex card first. Now I'll have to wait and most likely miss this deal to avoid applying for multiple cards in a short period of time.

Grand Hyatt Kauai is probably why. 165k points gets you 5 night club level. Worth roughly $4500. Have over 200k banked and to blow it off for 1.5 when we've done the GH on points the past two years, my wife would crush me if the reason was groceries. Can't afford 14 days quarantining there though so you might be onto something! =P

So wouldn't you transfer your points to Hyatt? I used my points to stay at this hotel last year. It was nice. Used points to get a suite.
