It's 4 years since receiving the sign up bonus.
You have to wait 4 years since opening the first one before you can get another.
The application date or the card open date doesn't matter. What matters is the date that you received the sign-up bonus. That date is probably the closing date of the statement in which it was awarded to you.

For example, if you met the minimum spend for the sign up bonus in the first month the card was opened, the statement closing date was probably October or November 2016. If you met the minimum spend in the 3rd month that the card was opened, then the bonus may have been awarded in January or even February - again, depends on the statement closing date. You can check your first few statements in that account to know for sure.

Has anyone had success in getting them to honor the 80,000 points for recently getting this card for 60,000 points? Just got this card late July for the 60,000 pts but have not reached the 4000 spend yet.

They declined my wife via secure messages. I am going to have her try calling.

It's loop year. I have done 4 years. My 300 credit year ends in December 9th. So I know it for a fact

The reset date actually depends on when you got the card.

If you opened your CSR before May 21 2017 it's based on calendar year (I think technically it resets after your December statement date).

If you opened it AFTER that date it's tied to your cardmember year, not calendar.

I opened the card in Dec 2016. My year end bonus is tied to the date when I opened the card. Its on 12/09/2016 to be precise. So for me it's not Calendar year.

I mean, it is though.

I mentioned calendar year ends with your December statement.

I got mine in November 2016. But my credit ALSO resets after my december statement date.

That's how they define calendar year.

If it was by member year mine would reset in November. It doesn't.

Folks who got theirs after May 21 2017 though- theirs does.

As I said mine resets on 12/09/xxxx. So in all practical purpose I can get $600 credit in one calendar year if I want. $300 before 12/09 and $ 300 after 12/09. I have done it one year as I was traveling to Europe and I got $600 credit that calender year...

1) Is the checking account from chase? If so, it definitely helps in their overall assessment; if not it is of no use.

2) there is zero reason for you not to be approved. Did you call the reconsideration line?

Yes. I have bank account with chase from more than 3 years and credit cards as well. Thank you so much for giving idea about reconsideration help. I was not knowing it all. I will give a try.

I have hospital bill $5K which I may try to pay with this to save money 😞

what was the reason for denial? Chase has to tell you that. How did you know you were denied? Did you call the reconsideration line and what did they have to say?

'Having too many cards is old school thinking. You just need to have 2 anchor cards (with the longest history) and churn the rest. Don't hold more than 5 to 6 cards in total.

Don't you have insurance? Coronovirus treatment is free per law if you don't have insurance.

If it is not coronovirus, you should negotiate with the hospital to lower their charges.

Everyone's referrals are still showing 60k. Give it a few days and check again, hopefully they update it to match this 80k offer.
Can you let me know when it shows?
Will really appreciate it!

That is an Incorrect statement. Not just any credit card, like AMEX, Citi, Gas cards, etc.
It is 5 new Chase cards in the past 24 months.

5/25 rule is from any credit card company. Not just Chase. If you have applied for 5 Credit cards across all banks/credit card companies including Chase over last 24 months, try applying for another Chase card and see. You will not be approved.

My request for Chase to upgrade my offer to 80K (I was approved for the Card less than 2 weeks before) by Secure Messaging was declined.
