It's 4 years since receiving the sign up bonus.
You have to wait 4 years since opening the first one before you can get another.
The application date or the card open date doesn't matter. What matters is the date that you received the sign-up bonus. That date is probably the closing date of the statement in which it was awarded to you.

For example, if you met the minimum spend for the sign up bonus in the first month the card was opened, the statement closing date was probably October or November 2016. If you met the minimum spend in the 3rd month that the card was opened, then the bonus may have been awarded in January or even February - again, depends on the statement closing date. You can check your first few statements in that account to know for sure.

Yes, they are getting L2 data from "most" grocery stores. This lists individual items. You might get lucky. My expense reports list out everything I bought at a grocery store, for instance, so that I don't by an xbox and expense it as groceries.

Be patient. You can call Chase and they will indicate the date it was mailed. Alternatively, you can ask them to expediate for free....but this means you will end up with duplicate cards....one thorough regular mail and the other through expediated mail.

Not yet. Waiting on this too. But not sure how much longer I should wait. The regular 80k offer isnt bad at all.

When I applied it came up with "Verifying Information" and it sits there forever.
Later it asks to end the session or keep continue!

What should I do - I did not login to my account before applying. Should I? Should apply again if it doesn't resolve?

1 Call Chase. They can check if the application went through on their end.

2. If it didn't go through, apply again when logged into Chase.

Took 9 days on my end. The day I received it is also the day I had already called Chase and they said "oh yeah, should have arrived by now... clearly it's not coming. We'll cancel it and rush a new one to you". So now I'm waiting until Monday since the card I just received is useless.

I owned this card many times was first year fee waived...
never pay the card with fees ....

You may have got a 60k offer with a waived fee, but not 80k.

Anyone have any luck getting the 80k bonus from referrals? I just called Chase and they told me they are only doing 60k bonus through refer-a-friend right now.

I'm debating if I should just get the card right now, or wait until the refer-a-friend bonus becomes 80k

How long you going to wait? Word on the street is this will last until Nov. at the latest. My refererral was only 60k too.

Could you try and let us know if you get approved for the preferred or not ??
I'm very curious on this exact subject.
Supposedly NO, but I'd like to know.
I've spoken with Chase CS and they indicated Sapphire Card with no AF still counts as a Sapphire card. To be eligible you must not be a current Chase Sapphire cardholder. You'll need to request a product change to any current Sapphire card before you can apply and get approved
