You have to wait 4 years since opening the first one before you can get another.
The application date or the card open date doesn't matter. What matters is the date that you received the sign-up bonus. That date is probably the closing date of the statement in which it was awarded to you.
For example, if you met the minimum spend for the sign up bonus in the first month the card was opened, the statement closing date was probably October or November 2016. If you met the minimum spend in the 3rd month that the card was opened, then the bonus may have been awarded in January or even February - again, depends on the statement closing date. You can check your first few statements in that account to know for sure.

As stated in the first 2 posts in this thread, the annual fee is $95. There is no waiving of that fee in this deal.
Historically, when the bonus has been 50,000 points, the 1st year fee has been waived. When the bonus has been increased to 60k/80k points, the fee is not waived.
This card has become absolutely trash after the revamps of no fee cards freedom flex and unlimited. Better to go for reserve with hardly less than 95 effective annual fees with far more benefits than this card. IF THEY OFFER 150K UR points then may be one should consider this card
We need to review your request a little longer. We will let you know of our decision as soon as possible.
Thank you for choosing the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card.
Does it mean I got rejected???
For your reference, below is my DP:
- no previous relationship with Chase
- credit score 750
- 1/24
- received the same message after submitting the application
- 5 days later: received mail asking for an SSN card copy
- fax SSN card
- another 5 days later: approved by email (today)
If I have a Freedom and Freedom Unlimited card, can I qualify for this one?
I have both of them as well and qualified for the 60K bonus...on top of the Unlimited bonus of 20K. I tried a fourth card and that's when the caught on to my "scheme". The great part about it is that all the items I purchased received an extra one-year warranty. Including my generator from Costco.
so you can literally combine your ultimate rewards and use them on groceries (buy gift cards if you like) and restaurants and redeem it at the rate of 1.25x (not as good as Reserve's 1.5x)
If I get approved will I be able to use it immediately before i get the physical card?
If you have a Chase.com account already, it will immediately show up as a new card, but I do not believe that you can use it prior to getting the physical card. I live in LA, and it took about 5 days for me to get the card.

Wondering what people are making use of the card these days and what are the usable benefits over freedom 5% cashback card?.
Just debating to keep the card or switch to another chase product.
Any suggestions?
