It's 4 years since receiving the sign up bonus.
You have to wait 4 years since opening the first one before you can get another.
The application date or the card open date doesn't matter. What matters is the date that you received the sign-up bonus. That date is probably the closing date of the statement in which it was awarded to you.

For example, if you met the minimum spend for the sign up bonus in the first month the card was opened, the statement closing date was probably October or November 2016. If you met the minimum spend in the 3rd month that the card was opened, then the bonus may have been awarded in January or even February - again, depends on the statement closing date. You can check your first few statements in that account to know for sure.

I still have the original sapphire card with no annual fee. Do I qualify for the bonus points? Thank you.

What does it mean by purchases? As long as an amount is charged on there? Was thinking of using it for my rent but not sure if that counts as a purchase?

Yeah rent will work. Any bill such as utilities & taxes will also work.

Anyone know how exact they are about the prior sign up bonus? Looks like I got my bonus from the reserve on 11/16/16 which is the statement date. Am I out of luck for this offer since it's done on the 7th?

So do I understand correctly: if someone with a SP card refers me, they get 15K points, I get 80K points plus 80K points if I meet the $4K purchases requirement? TIA.

You get only 80k once not twice.

Yes, unless you are subject to the Chase 5/24 rule. I personally have 4 Chase credit cards, including IHG, Hyatt, Chase Freedom, & Southwest.

Unfortunately yes, unless Chase extends the bonus.

BTW, I have seen posts that indicate to wait and apply in the calendar month after the last bonus posted instead of 48 months to the day.
So, in your case it would be Dec 2020.

Got it, thanks. I figured as much but was worth asking. Hopefully they'll extend the promotion.

NP, I am in a similar boat except my bonus posted in Oct 2016 so I am waiting till Nov
and fingers crossed Chase won't pull the offer sooner.

My first statement for this Chase Sapphire:

First Payment Due Date: 11/21/17
Downgraded to no annual fee Sapphire in 2019 I believe.

I have Amazon visa (opened 2014) and Chase freedom (June 2014 opened) that were opened before this card.

Just checking if I would be eligible for this. I have refrigerator and washer/dryer purchase coming up..!

As long as you didn't have any other active sapphire card, and you didn't get such bonus in the last 48 months, you will be fine.

Well, I don't think I'm eligible for this.

Yeah, you're probably not eligible since you're within the 48 month period since your last Sapphire bonus. It's looking like you'll be eligible again in late 2021.

Hello Guys - Couple of questions about CSP:

1. I plan to downgrade my CSP to Flex later today. How soon can I apply for new CSP after the downgrade to take advantage of 80K SUB? Lets say if I downgrade today , can I apply for CSP tomorrow? I am 48 months +++

2. Can I refer myself for CSP? Meaning use my existing link to sign up. Would I get the referral bonus still?

3. How soon can you upgrade your CSP to CSR after you get the signup bonus?

Thanks in advance!
