'All of this to say if you own any Sprint 5G phone that does not have "Galaxy S20" in its name, it will eventually lose access to either network's 5G, period.'
Be careful of this seller. Bought this phone on a previous deal. While it does arrive in new condition when I tried to return it due to 5g not working on any other carrier, the seller claimed the phone was damaged and refunded half the amount. I sent the phone back unopened in the same condition. Ebay is absolutely useless due to the pandemic, and they have sent multiple emails promising rest of the refund but money never was refunded. If you look at previous deal pages about this phone from this seller, you will see more posts like mine. I recommend if you buy the phone and want to return, just put it up for sale rather than return or youll get scammed.
Love the phone, fantastic upgrade for me from V20 the last time this hit FP, but I hate the lack of VoLTE on TMobile, and a bit concerned about when they start shutting down 3G...
What?
Can someone elaborate on this for uninformed idiots like me?

What he said isn't true 3G refers to to internet on your phone, you will still be able to make phone calls if they remove 3G service, which won't happen anytime soon. 3G is a reference to download and upload speed through towers, each iteration 4G and 5G improving on the previous speeds and latencies. They aren't backwards compatible so you would need the latest one on your phone to access the higher speed internet.
I had an unlocked sprint phone (LG G6) and was unable to tether. Does anyone know if this one can be used as a hotspot or if sprint blocks this option?
If it has indeed LTE band 13, then you could potentially put in an already-active Verizon SIM card and have it work on the Verizon network.
The only 5G band seems to be n41 (2500 MHz) which T-Mobile will be repurposing for their own network.
And if you plan on using the phone on any non-Sprint network, be sure to look at the eBay listing's compatibility section about changing APN settings.

This is false you can still make phone calls without 3G, You just can't access the internet, so it's just like before smart phones came out.

Also the lower 5G bands.
Is the chart wrong? For the ebay page says these are the bands for LTE:
Bands 1(2100), 2(1900), 3(1800), 4(AWS-1), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 12(700 a), 13(700 c), 17(700 b), 20(800 DD), 25(1900+), 26(850+), 28(700 APT), 66(AWS-3), 71(600)
Which means it's missing band 14 (FirstNet)
