You should not be mega dosing unless your vitamin D levels are incredibly low and your doctor required you to do so. An average adult should be taking 1,000IU to no more than 5,000IU a day. If you're doing this because you've read articles linking vitamin D to protecting you against a severe case of Covid-19, you should also understand, loading yourself up with vitamin D will not magically boost your levels overnight. It takes time to get to healthy vitamin D levels.
Studies suggest that lower doses of melatonin are more beneficial.

Consider using liquid melatonin where you can administer 300mcg instead of 3mg

Why? Genuinely curious. Liquid does seem to be much more expensive.

Generally liquid drugs and vitamins are fast acting vs slow release. That's my guess.

I bought the soft gels a couple days ago and wasn't home when the package was delivered and by the time I got the package all the gel tablets were melted together. If you buy the soft gels make sure you are there when they are being delivered.

That is true but I'm not sure a price increase of multiple orders of magnitude justifies a faster acting dosage.

This I didn't know. I'll have to look into it. I've been taking 3 mg of Melatonin for a few years now and it really does make a huge difference in how well I sleep.

as some others noted, but worth repeating:
(1) absorbs quicker sublingually (but probably the most minor of my points)
(2) because usually liquid drops are 1mg for the dropper, which allows you to more precisely (vs cutting a 1mg pill into thirds or even smaller portions with larger dosages) measure out the optimal 300mcg

less is more.

I do remember having a sever vitamin D deficiency like 7 years ago. The doctor prescribed a 50k IU, but once a week for couple months only. Those are very high and should not be taken without a doctor guidance.

Back to my story, two months on that high dosage and normal OTC daily after that put me back in business. No issues since then

What kind of symptoms were you experiencing when you had severe vitamin D deficiency 7 years ago? Thanks. hug
