Why the price is different if not clicking from your link?
Well at least this confirms that you work for them.
Adorama does this often. (Use magic links to display lower prices, that is.)
If you inspect the URL, you will see "emailprice=t" indicating that this is an email exclusive deal.
Edit to clarify and add:
To get a link like this, click a 'specials' link in an email. For instance I click Photography specials, then limited by price to get this list, it includes Iconian's deal:
I know that. The question is where Iconian gets that custom link. That link seems to be specifically provided to Iconian to distribute. Anyway, good price for someone who can use this.
That may very well be true.
If I understand correctly Iconian works for SlickDeals (correct me if I'm wrong) and likely has deals submitted to him directly from companies, which then get posted here.

That UTM/query string never changes. If you were as clever as you thought you were you'd save it and apply it to every item you want to see if its actually on promo rather than waiting for a posted thread.

Haha, I agree. Most time we will be wasting time though typing those extra characters unless you only have a couple of items to check. And the point of SD is for others to find deals that are not critical, but useful. Since I don't think Iconian is experimenting as what you suggested, I can only conclude it's an advertisement, and more likely, marketing experiment to find out how many people are responsive to this type of obscure items and the price points.

yes, sometimes I find it myself, sometimes I get promo email, sometimes it's given to me.. in the end, the only thing should matter is the actual deal. is it good or bad.

Unlike the other guy, I don't care where you got this code from. Bought one and repped. Keep 'em coming!
thanks!

this item maybe indeed niche, but i'd imagine who needs it, will rarely find at this price.

You could also write your own plugin/extension to auto add that query to any url with the adorama.com domain and offer it to poor Slick Dealers that need a helping hand... other than that, you don't really care about the community as much as you think you do.

Well, that does seem to be something that somebody could try.

Haha, you are sidestepping the origin, but I think I know. Of course it's a good price. I said in an earlier post. it has been $30 for the last couple of months or so, and is probably being cleared out. So 40% off with a saving of $12. Good on my book.

no, I don't work for them and I am sure you have seen custom links for sales before
