*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

Tmobile screwed me last time this promo ran in July. Still trying to fix the charges. Have the 2 line for $100 all in one. Stay away if yours is same.

The way it works is the phone deal must run concurrent with the time you add the line so if you add a line on day 5 of free line deal running days 0-10 and the phone deal comes out day 9 you are eligible, however if you add the line days 9-10 and the phone deal is running days 11-15 you are not eligible, both must be concurrent.
Exactly. What's crazier is this: a friend bought iPhone SE w/o any promo early June b/c she just wanted the phone. Then signed up for the free line on July 1 and somehow the SE promo (50% off) is activated on its own. Not sure if the system or the rep did that but she never mentioned to the rep about her SE purchase back in early June, 3+ weeks prior to the add a line.

That my man, is a hat trick of a hail mary from a unicorn, I've been trying for years to do this. The best solution was to get the new line, then port out the old number to gv and port over the free line. Kudos to your repApplause
I tried this few months ago.. after several reps I found one who supposedly understood what I wanted. Instead next morning 5 lines were all mixed up..big mess took days and many reps to fix.

Can you explain how to port to gv then back in

with both reps I told them what I'm trying to do and with the first rep since I did it online, I don't now if she applied any code to it after I ordered online, but I think I remember asking her to check if it worked and she said yes. For this one, I'm planning on doing exactly this.
Thank you for the tip, I'm still sorting crap out from the last free line, last rep told me she applied a permanent discount that should apply each month, but i swear at least 5 of them told me the same thing. I'm really hoping i don't have to deal with a rep at all, that last time they screwed up and everyone on my plan lost data. By the way, do you get to choose your number when doing it online? how does the sim get activated? thanks again

How was your experience? Were they able to roll your existing promotions and not change your bill? Is your plan also Tmo One (not the one +)?

Thank you kindly!
I have T-Mobile One with One Plus Promo. Everything stayed the same.

Same, I demanded that they changed my plan to one that was eligible. They were reluctant at first but I got it done and got my free line.

There's not much time to do this, it's definitely work, costs a bit of money, and is a bit scary:
  • Port all three lines out to AT&T today. This closes your account. Since you need everything setup immediately, do this at an AT&T store. Make sure you get account # and pin since you'll need this to port out. Bring an unlocked cell phone with you since you'll need a few text confirmations for the account setup. Port to AT&T prepaid and I think you just pay $30 per line for the cheapest prepaid card load.
  • Then walk over to a T-Mobile store and open a new account today, porting those numbers back in; your third line would be free. Since you're porting in number for a new account, register your insider hookup code for 20% off. Its been mentioned that you do this ahead of time but in the past, you could do it after the fact (within 14 days?). This will cost another $30 per line ($10 for sim card, $20 for assistance fee).
  • Tomorrow you could add a 4th line free.
Not likely to happen. I would not try this unless you did not mind losing your #s. The problem is ATT will not assign an account # until line hits their billing account system. I know this bc I ported into TMobile 1 line almost 2 years ago. I remember clearly.. I almost walked out the att store and I turned around and said. Hey what's my account #? And they told me to call the 800 line after 30 days.

I'm still sorting crap from the 2017 free add a line, so I feel your pain Smilie as for picking your own number I think it gives you a selection of 4 or 5 numbers to pick from and as for activating the sim, the line itself takes a few hours to maybe a day to allow you to make changes online. Maybe it's different for different accounts or depends on whatever system changes that need to take effect. But, it's just a few more hours, so you'll be able to find all of that out soon enough...

Don't we have to pay tax on voice line like 5$... I enrolled in auto-pay three months back but never get any credit... So, paying these free lines cost like 5$
