*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

So whats the deal on these free lines? Can you ever cancel an existing line in the future or do all become subject to fees?
The previous one from July stated you can't cancel a line within a year. This one says " credits will stop if you cancel any lines" (right on the homepage under more details) which is a little concerning...

I am on a grand fathered $70 plan that gave two lines. I added two tablet lines back in 2017 when they added the promo. I was getting 4 lines for $70 with 6GB of LTE data. When they ran the promo for free line in July, I added a new voice line but later TMobile changed the tune and told me that my plan is not eligible for the free line and started charging additional $20 per line.
Every agent was telling me the same story.
So today, I called again and I was offered the free line. I told my story again and after some digging he said, yes my $70 plan is ineligible for July promo, but he has a $80 plan that gives the same perks as my existing grand father plan, and will qualify for July promo as well as today's promo. He changed by plan to 6SCFM2L. I will be watching for the next couple of months and I hope they give the 4 voice lines and 2 tablet lines for $80+tax.

If we are on an eligible plan can we just add a line ourselves online like last time? The promo automatically applied.

yes you qualify, I'm on the same plan and added this morning. I did it via chat, but it took a long time to get a response from someone and it took a long time once they were helping me. I'd recommend calling in.
Thanks. Can I port in this line from Google voice?

This free line promo looks different than before:

Add a voice line for free to an eligible plan with two or more existing lines.
Subject to change. Free new line for accounts with 2 to 11 voice lines; plus taxes & fees for accounts currently paying for a T-Mobile wireless line with additional taxes & fees. Qualifying credit and Magenta, Essentials, ONE, Business Unlimited, or Simple Choice plan required. Credits may take up to 2 bill cycles; credits will stop if you cancel any lines. Limit 1 offer per account.

Looks like we are charged for the additional line, then issued a credit each month (like an EIP). The problem is that highlighted line -- if you cancel ANY lines, then the credits will stop? My other free Tmobile lines were not like this at all. I may not sign up for this because of this restriction (unable to cancel any lines)
someone posted something a bit different on reddit [reddit.com] :

```
For a limited time in all markets, new customers activating 3 or more voice lines and existing customers with at least 2 or more paid voice lines who activate at least one more voice line will receive one voice line free (via monthly bill credits) when they choose a qualifying voice rate plan (TM1, Simple choice, Magenta, Magenta+, Business Unlimited, or Essentials) Existing customer: To get this offer, you must have at least 2 paid voice lines and activate at least 1 new voice line of service on a qualifying T-Mobile ONE, Simple Choice, Magenta, T-Mobile Essentials, or Business Unlimited rate plan during the promotional period. Your credits should begin within your first bill cycle after activation, but in some cases, it may take up to 2 bill cycles to begin. If you don't see a credit on your first bill, don't worry. You'll see a double credit on your second bill. Consumer only: You will receive a text message within 24 hours of qualification confirming your enrollment into the promotion. You will lose the free line credits if you cancel ANY lines on the account within one year after accepting this offer. After one year, you must keep at least 1 paid voice line along with the paid new line and free line activated under this offer to keep the free line credits. If you cancel a line or change to an ineligible rate plan and lose your free line credits, you have 90 days to resume the canceled line or switch back to an eligible rate plan. You will not receive any credits that were missed.
I would assume so, you actually don't give the port in details until after you receive the phone/SIM card.
Added line with no issues using the Tmobile app. I did have to wait about 15-20 minutes for a response via chat but the person verified I qualified and was able to send a sim for $10+tax and then credit it back to me.
Yeah, I pulled that quote directly from the Full Terms for this specific promo from the TMobile front page -- screenshot attached.
Can you guys be sure to post the update whether or not you were able to add a free line? I am on the same SCFUTT6 Simple Choice plan and your experience so far is less than reassuring....
I was able to add the free line after speaking to a US based call center. I think overseas call center employees are misunderstanding the terms of the promo. Wait and try again.
