*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

is the line completely free (inclusive of taxes) ? Or do we need to pay taxes on the new line?
You will pay taxes/fees if your plan charges for the. These are included in One and Magenta plans so completely free on those plans.

I called T-Mobile and got a free line and a iPhone 11 Pro Max (Midnight Green) for $100 by porting in a Google Voice number and trading in an iPhone Xr. Before calling, I unlocked the Google Voice number ($3 charged by Google). I have the Simple Choice North America 6GB Family Match plan (SOC: 6SCFM2LN) plus the $40 Friends & Fam 2 Lines On Us. Basically, 2 paid lines + 2 free lines. The new line will make it 2 paid lines + 3 free lines on my plan.

I wanted to get the iPhone 11 Pro, but they had zero in stock. I asked the rep if there is any stock at my local stores. She said that their inventory system is connected, and there is no stock at my local stores as well. I guess $100 for a Pro Max is not so bad after all. They gave me $207 instant trade-in credit, and the rest ($793) will be issued as bill credits over 24 months. She also waived the sim card fee and activation fee. I paid sales tax on $1,100 (full price of the Max Pro) upfront. It adds $12.80/month to my bill for 24 months (subtract the $207 instant trade-in credit, and the total boils down to $100).
If T-Mobile ask where you porting from, you say google voice?

I told the rep Google Voice. Then she asked if it is a paid number. I told her I paid to unlock the number for porting. Then she punched in the number and confirmed working.

If you don't have a sim you can use an esim and have the line available immediately instead of waiting for a sim to arrive. Also no charges for using an esim

Does Simple Choice qualify for the iPhone 11 On Us promo? I don't see it listed online but chat rep is confident the only EXCLUDED plans are " Select Choice, Value Essentials Voice: Postpaid, and Value Essentials Voice: Business rate plans"
I got the same response over the phone. I already placed an order for port-in and iPhone 11 Pro Max. I talked to three different reps and asked them if my Simple Choice plan qualifies for the "Get iPhone 11 Pro On Us" Promo. They all said Simple Choice plans qualify, while the Select Choice plans do not qualify.

I do understand the risk others have mentioned. I will call T-Mobile again for a final confirmation before I ship my trade-in.

I cancelled with chat rep who annoyed me and called in.. free sim and no fees.

Call in rep initially said can't do another free line but I quickly interrupted him and read him terms. He said he felt embarrassed and quickly did it.

Now have to wait till sim arrives and check account for the inevitable screwups
My sim has expired so rep is gonna waive the support fee and charge $10 for the sim fee lol. I'm not gonna argue over it

I want to get an Android phone, so I am looking at the OnePlus 8 5G. I have heard that I can add a line, get the phone for 50% off by porting a number and then use a type 3 code for $200 off.

What is the order in which I have to do all of this? Do I need to do this in-store? Can I use the type 3 code within a day or two after everything else is done?

Thanks.

I just got off the phone and activated my free line and was only charged $10 for the "sim" and that's all. I don't know why people are saying they got charged an "Assistance" fee.
It might show up on your Bill, they don't tell you.
