*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

I want to get an Android phone, so I am looking at the OnePlus 8 5G. I have heard that I can add a line, get the phone for 50% off by porting a number and then use a type 3 code for $200 off.

What is the order in which I have to do all of this? Do I need to do this in-store? Can I use the type 3 code within a day or two after everything else is done?

Thanks.
only need to call tmo, add a line, and combine the phone with the line.

The uncarrier is now just another carrier.

I was sent to a store to do this by the 'group or representatives' that are supposed to be a small group who know your account and details....the store's FIRST reaction was to change my plan...

The second reaction at the store was to change my plan, they just wouldn't stop...then finally they read the details and saw that I did not need to change my plan.

I think they have an add a line promo when the iPhone 12 arrives and get everyone for yet another line. So I may hold off...

are you referring to this? Looks like line is not free. You have to pay monthly line charges.

https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/...ine_promo/

Costco is offering a $100 Costco Shop card when you BYOD and add a new line to any T-Mobile plan - even legacy plans. The offer stacks with other offers (and even stacked with the free line promo for at least a few days).
Also - $0 SIM fee and $0 support fee, so you'll only pay the monthly line charge when adding - no extra fees.
I may Then just do this. Do i have to go into store

To get the free line and iPhone deal, porting the number from a VOIP service (Vonage) would work?

For those that added a line already for the BYOD offer at Costco, do they need an IMEI or actual phone in hand or is none of that required and they just give you a SIM?

Got the free line this morning and one back in July, everything done through the app. Was charged only $10 for the SIM card back in July. Was charged $30 this morning ($10 SIM card fee + $20 activation/assistance fee). The rep this morning refused to waive the $20 fee because I had to "talk to him" on the app to get the offer while the one back in July told me there was no $20 fee since I used the app.

Can confirm you can add the free line at Costco and stacks with $100 Costco Cash Card BYOD offer. No sim fee, no support fee. This is definitely the way to go!

I currently have one line with ATT and iPhone X already paid. I want to switch T-Mobile and get more lines so a total of 3. Would be a good idea to add 2 lines to my ATT which i have several iPhones 6s that i can use and then try to switch to Tmobile to get a good deal and new iPhones?
