*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

That's interesting earlier I was quoted that a 9th line would end up changing my plan to magenta
It will, unless you get a rep that knows what he/she is doing. Make sure to let them know you want to be moved to a 9-12 line One plan, not Magenta. It can be done.

no. They just put in the number to the system to verify the number is qualified. For porting, they probably need your account number and pin number of it.
Thanks.
Do you know if Tmobile MVNO qualifies for the $250 rebate?

Also, does this free line meet the "add a line" requirement for phone deals? If yes, do I need to buy the phone at the same time as opening the new line?

I think you get locked for 2 yrs. I woulndt do that for such small amount. Its nice if one has option to purchase outright.

Please share if you see any deals for out-right purchase. I am thinking.
If you have a Costco membership, you can get T-Mobile iPhones for 10% off (360 for 64mb/405 for 128 models). In addition, if you activate a new line you can get $180 Visa gift card as a mail in rebate.

I checked my SOC and it is FRLTULF2

Do you know what is the difference between the 9-12 One plan and mine? Is it just that I can get additional voice lines within the same rate structure?

Thanks!

I have AT&T and T-mobile accounts. I am planning on adding a the free line today. I also wanted to get an iphone using the port-in/trade-in offer. Could I set up a new number today on my AT&T account and then on the same day, port that number over to T-mobile to use on the new free line? In other words, do I need to have the line at AT&T open for a period of time before porting to TMO for the port-in to be eligible for the iPhone port in/trade in offer. I don't want to port any existing numbers from my AT&T account.

From the Master SOC list linked on Reddit, yours is a standard 2-line base T-Mobile One plan. It should allow up to 8 voice lines before needing a change. The only difference between this plan and a 9-12 line base plan is the number of lines allowed (yours is anywhere between 2 and 8; the 9-12 plan is, not surprisingly, 9-12).

My SOC FRLTULFM2 is on the list on the first page. Yesterday I tried to add a line with 611 customer care via SMS. Was told that my Plan will have to be changed to Magenta then back TM One, said no ( first time had to go through a nightmare to have my account restored back to normal in July).

But I went ahead and ordered the line myself online this time, hoping it will be free. Otherwise, will cancel it and move on.
Can you provide an update? I am on the same plan - T-Force says i am eligible without change in plan but for a free line don't want to mess up the account

I'll have to just make sure it doesn't impact the rate plan I am on - i dont need the free line - but if there is a some phone promo might want to take advantage.

really wish they gave an option for a data plan.

I can't confirm anything honesty. Just have to wait to see if it's free or not

I'm a new customer. Can I take advantage of the 2+1 free and then 1 free line afterwards?
Nope. You can do the 2+1 but this thread's free line offer is for current customers with 2 paid lines before this promotion (e.g. before 9/18).

Hmmm I have the same plan as you I was able to take average of this offer . I currently have

5 voice lines - 3 of them are free
1 Apple Watch digits line - free
1 Apple Watch -$10
SyncUP drive 6gb - free
Sync up drive 2gb -$10
iPad unlimited -$20

I was informed by a rep I could have up to 12 lines but I'm not sure how accurate that is .

How many lines do you currently have? If it's 7 or less, there will be no change. If you already have 8, it will require a plan change. However, since you're already on One, you can ask to be put on the 9-12 line One plan instead of being moved to Magenta.

I actually like it a lot. Took a while to customize it but nkw no real complaints. Camera quality is ok id say bighest issue is shutter speed is a little slow for moving stills.
Any important tips for customizing it?

You can have 8 voice lines and i believe 5 mobile internet lines in that plan. your mobile internet lines don't count towards the voice ones.

i have 8 voice lines - not sure if its worth dealing in a possible account hassle for this free one.

i have 8 voice lines and 2 mobile internet lines

yeah if i do move forward will have to make sure they dont switch me to Magenta - the 9-12 One Plan would be it - but not sure if it changes price for all the lines.

If i remember the plan i have now it was tiered. like 2-4 lines one rate, 4-8 like $20 each, and so forth.

also if i recall there is a limit of lines that can have auto pay discount - i just recall how many
