*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

I am in the same situation. How do you upgrade 4 of the 6 voice lines to unlimited data? Thanks.

Quote from shahhere :
Hey old VW Golf buddy; I posted this but wanted to see if anyone else has any ideas.

I am on a SimpleChoice plan with 2.5GB (4GB) unlimited Calls/Text plan but its a business plan soc: BIZUTT6; 6 voice lines and then have 2 free tablet lines. I pay Taxes and the total would be around $168 a month (have EIP so right now its $182). I think I have a max 10 line limit...

I think I missed the window to do anything better with the Hookup or even the Free line but the Free line would cost me about $5.60 in taxes each month but asking if there is anything else I can do to improve my plan.

I was able to chat with CS and get them to upgrade 4 of the 6 voice lines to unlimited data with 10gb hotspot but only 4. That change is already reflected in the lines and I hope I dont get charged anything extra....

Thanks in advance...

Idk if anyone mentioned it yet.

Add your free line at Costco. You won't have to pay activation or sim fee plus get $100 Costco card after your submit their promo stuff (take 12-16 weeks to get)
I don't have a spare phone. Can I still go to Costco and get a free sim and activation at least?

Did you have 1 or 2 lines prior to adding the free line?
I had two lines prior to adding the third free line. rep over the phone waived the 20$ fee and I had a spare sim to use.

Same SOC? Business?

I was talking to the Reps to find my SOC and understand what plan I have and what not and she went back to find out how to give me that information and finally asked what I was trying to do.

I explained that I want to see if i can upgrade the plan to something diff while not going over and at the least getting unlimited data on a few lines. She came back and asked how many lines to which I said 4 and said okay pick 4 and we can add Unlimited Data to those line but only 4 (not sure if saying 4 made me lock it in lol).

I had to give them 4 lines and they now show something diff (cant logon to the damm account ever) as Unlimited data+10gb whereas the other 2 show 4gb only.

I wish I got to this thread before now. I just got off chat in the T-MOBILE app. He knew exactly what I wanted and the only way to add it to my amplified plan was move me off and then wait for the sim to ship. Then Saturday he will put me back on Amplified. Let's hope I don't need to make additional calls.
Interesting. Good to know this is a technique they can use if I need a means of recourse should the line they opened for me not show up on my account as a free line.

Clearly they aren't restricted from accommodating people who are on a plan that's not on the qualified SOC list, if you get the right person.

T-Mobile wants me to switch plans to get a free line. I will then pay $120 + tax for three lines? People here have twice or three times as many lines for not much more. 15+ year customer gets the shaft as usual.

Does this "Line On Us" promotion come around once in a while or is this really rare?
This is the second free line offer this year (first was in late June) but consider it a rare occurrence. I wouldn't count on them just giving away free lines with no other requirements (like adding a line to get a line).

If you want to do a little work, there's a 3rd line on us offer. Start a new account (will need someone like a spouse to open it) with three lines and combine with the 20% off insider hookup offer.. That gets you 3 lines, and basic Netflix, for $96. If you want, buy 3 AT&T numbers from eBay for $7 each, port those numbers in, and get the $250 rebate offer. Now you have a new account with 3 new phone numbers. Hang onto this until you get the $750 in virtual prepaid Mastercard in 6 to 8 weeks. At that point, port your current phone numbers out to something and immediately port those numbers back into the new account. Or if you're not greedy, ignore the $750 and eBay numbers and just port your current account numbers out (thus closing that account) and port them back into the new account. End result is you have a new Magenta account, all your phone numbers are intact, and you pay just $96 for 3 lines, tax/fees included.

And now that you're on a current plan that'll benefit from any future offers. I bit the bullet and did something similar last November and I'm glad I did.

I thought the Cap was/is 50GB?
Quote from bizcanos :
It is truly unlimited and they did increase the CAP to 50GB per line and once you pass 50GB they can reduce your speeds. My daughter who is away at college is always blasting past 50GB (she's already 54GB and we still have 13 days left in our billing cycle) and they have yet to slow her down (knocking on wood).
This has always been ymmv and dependent on network congestion. During congestion, users over 50GB are the first to get throttled.

Has anyone switched to the 3rd line free promo on the site and then added the 4th line as the free "line of us". I have the 2/$100 plan with hookup, but have been thinking about switching it to the Magenta Plus and get 4 lines for $140 + 20% hookup, if it is possible. Also, I got some family that want to switch to T-Mo and do that too.

Finally closed the circle, SIM is still in mail, so activated and ported line on spare SIM. Submitted $250 rebate. Will have to find decent phone to use the line.

I guess the credit amount for this free line depends on the plan you have? Mine shows "$20 2020 Line On Us 2".
