*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

I'm pretty sure you can still get the free line as the 90 day rule does not apply to this promo. But you cannot take advantage of the free iPhone on us promo since the 90 day rule does apply.
Be careful with that assumption Every free line/BOGO for at least the last 3 years has required you to reactivate any lines cancelled with 90 days prior in order to be eligible.

It's possible this is not the case with this promo, but I would not count on that. We'd need the agent-facing terms in order to be sure.

If 2020 Line On Us 2 discount is applied at account level, then Kickback can be beneficial. I tried to add Kickback to this free line, but was shot down.
If you're looking to get it added, just keep trying. It often takes a few reps and some variation of your reasoning to get it done.

Quote from nashi20002003 :
Anybody knows how to see the exact line to which the "This on US"" 2020 is applied to? Like while looking online you see summary but no details promo by line.
Cost details, Plain details do not show the which one for me. May I'm missing it.
The reason is last Free line I got one then ported out on of my line thinking it's not a big deal. Well the next bill I was charged for the free line and promo was no longer showing Was told it's because I removed the line. I offered to port it back if they can put it the promo back on the free line but instead I was only offered a one time $20 credit.
Now comes couple days ago I requested this new free line...and after it was added I noticed the other promo came came back..so I now have this on us 2020 twice. Well I Hope this sticks. my suspicion is while adding a line, the system though I just restored the previous ported out line and it gave me the old promo back. I'm not sure. Anybody know? I would like to check which line exactly the promo apply to.
Promos are tied to activation dates. What is the exact name of the free line promos you see on your account? The one from June/July was "2020 Line On Us" and the current promo is "2020 Line on Us 2".

Quote from Virtual69 :
I just added this fall 2020 promo as my 9th line. Auto pay credit is still showing up as $40. My base bill has gone from $140 for 8 lines to $130 for 9 lines, taxes and fees included.
$40 is the max autopay amount, so that's not unusual. It sounds like you may have already had a free line promo that increased from $20 to $30 to bring you down $10.

Quote from nashi20002003 :
yep. Jury is out if it's one year or 90 days. I would not risk it I was you unless you do not need two lines. that way if you cancel one. and you loose the promo on the other one, you can cancel that one too. But it all depend on when you got the two free lines...if it's over 90 day on both then may be. But some are saying a year. I actually think it's 90. I did what you're trying to do last month after getting a free line. the next bill the free line was no longer free. Well I regretted it.
The two timeframes that you're quoting, 90 days and 1 year, are for two different scenarios. All previous free line/BOGO promos (including this one, I suspect) stated that you must resume any line canceled within the last 90 days in order to be eligible for the promo. In other words, if you canceled a line in the last 3 months prior to taking the promo, you must put that line back on the account before you're eligible. The 1 year stipulation relates to the amount of time needed before you can cancel lines on your account without losing the promo. The customer-facing promo terms don't specifically state this 1 year timeframe, but based on past promotions, I would be surprised if it were any different.

How long is it taking people to receive the text message from T-mobile confirming the promo with the free line? Thought it was fairly quick the last time I added a free line but nothing yet...

I called for my free line on Sunday 9/20 and got the text today, approximately 2 days later.

I received a text confirming the free line promo, within 1 hour. My Tmobile online account also started showing the $20 discount around the same time. I added the new line yesterday, via TForce on Twitter.

I got the text about the promotional service discount on the same day/Saturday the free line was added. Yet my account does not reflect the 2020-line-on-us-2. The SIM card along with the promo phone was shipped already on Sunday per ups tracking.

The eip doesn't reflect the phone promo. Yet , two different tforce reps and two different 611 say both promos are there.

Update:, happy to report the free "line on us 2" is finally reflected n my account. Take 4-5 days for this to happen

anyone has the promo codes for the free line that ended on 9/17 and the new current one starting 9/18? what names did t-mobile give them? free line on us 1 & 2?
The one that ended on the 17 was "2020 3rd Line On Us 2" the one that started on the 18th was "2020 Line On Us 2" I ordered sims on the 17th but they shipped later so the 3rd line on us wasn't applied so I contacted TForce and they added it.

Yes this new free line qualify you for any phone promo they have currently running. Just make sure when you pick the promo phone they don't add another line and make sure they attach to your new promo free line. I just got off the phone with the rep where they added another line they had to fix by canceling it. Which now in my account shows I have a cancel line so I screwed again from any promo for 90 days becauze they screwed up again. Tmobile really need to retrain their customer care reps. Had to deal with them mistakes for the last 3 months since the June line on us promo. At least I got the free line finally activated and shows 2020 line on hs promo in my account. Had to talk to 5 customer care dealing with their imcompetence. Now the last rep said I can port in with this new line for the $250 rebate. Even though I have a cancel line now. Will see if that goes thru or more call with them.
Me too!! I got 3 reps' imcompetence. Each one has different mistakes.

I tried this 3 times in June and then gave up. It's all good. I don't have the crazy perfect hookup discounts or best plans that some have, but I am pretty happy overall with many goodies added.

If I get one of the 50% off phones for adding the free line, how long does it have to stay on the new line before it's safe to switch it to one of my existing lines?
If you mean just moving the phone that's not an issue at all. The phone order is attached to the line #, so the phone will be associated with that line until paid off. But technically you can swap in any other TMUS SIM. I recommend connecting the phone with that number for 24h so it's registered at least once with that SIM and number, and then you can swap. My wife and I ordered phones and mixed them up and that's not changing anything though technically her phone is associated with my line.

It does make a difference if you want to unlock as you need to pay the correct phone off. Remember you can pay it off right away as well and you'll get the billing credits for the next 24 months.

If you remember in July I think they had a free Line. I added that free line I'm still getting credits for that. I have to contact them but I'm still getting them. For this they will automatically credit them. I took screenshots in case they drop it. I have messages from reps. So I have back up I case that's happens. But it hasn't happened to me. I have 3 free lines and 9 paid lines total of 12 Linea for $330. $27/Line. Can't beat that deal.🤣
I have 5 paid lines for $125
I have 4 free voice lines
I have 1 free data line 6GB
Total bill with taxes is around $158. Or $16 per line.
So I guess i CAN beat that dealWink
I also have 2 free data lines 200MB that I didn't factor in

But all in good jest, your deal is decent too!
