Thanks.
I have no use for it now but maybe later.
Seems like he would either have to get a new number or port out of Tmobile to another service and port back in...which could take some time and deal will probably be dead.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
I have been a long time customer under the 6SCFM2LN plan, and I qualify.
What do I need to do? I've talked with multiple customer service agents, and one said I didn't qualify even though my SOC plan code is listed. Anyways, another said I should order a new line of service online after logging into my account and it'll automatically work. I didn't see anywhere to put a promo code in, but I did this anyway. I now have an order number for a new SIM to be sent to me and I already have a unlocked phone I can use.
So now what? The SIM will come in a few days, but I don't see a new line of service yet in my account. Am I doing this right?

If you want to take advantage of the iPhone 11 promo and free line, I would get an AT&T number from eBay to port into TMO and get the new line and phone order in place now. Worry about moving your father's number to the new line later. You will likely have to port out your father's number to something other than T-Mobile, Sprint or one of their MVNOs before porting back into your new free line. But there are far smarter tools in the SD shed than me so hopefully someone else can chime in. But with the free line promo ending tomorrow, get that in place now. No harm in doing that regardless of what happens with your father's number.
- Placed order online yesterday at 1pm on the website. Adding a new line did not indicate any discounts as expected. Paid $10 for the SIM.
- Order marked as shipped via email/text this morning at 10:45am
- Text confirmation of the promo text today at 1pm
- SOC plan #FRLTULF2 (original T-Mobile One)
Took 5 minutes yesterday instead of being glued to the chat window for hours. I am totally OK with making this a quarterly event. How about a wearable or tablet line next time.Still debating if I wanna buy a new unlocked phone from apple and use the $250 BYOD with number port-in.

Mahalo T-Mobile.
Nm. I see number populated in my account.

May just want to confirm that porting a new number later on while receiving your iPhone credits won't be a problem. I don't see why it would, though. Credits are tied to the line, not the number.
