It was very easy to see an option for those that don't have a .EDU address; it's clearly stated right on the site in the post's link: "No .edu email? No problem.
Click here to learn how you can still qualify. Offer terms apply." That link takes you to an option that uses the promo code "non_edu_promocode", which worked fine for me. Perhaps "Fundamentals of Reading Web Pages" should be a mandatory course.

Just a note that I had to add exceptions to my ad- and tracking-blockers to get through the "onboarding" process and to go through the cancellation ordeal.

The site is clearly designed to be misleading in a lot of ways (four steps to cancel, each of which makes you think you're making a terrible, irreversible mistake). As many others have stated (thanks!), you can "cancel", and you'll still receive your free year. I'd recommend that everyone do this immediately. They're clearly planning to make a lot of money off students who forget and will be charged $180 in a year.

I canceled right after signing up will continue to have access for one year.

Also, this is from their TOS: "You may cancel a Recurring Subscription at any time, but if you cancel your subscription before the end of the current subscription period, we will not refund any subscription fees already paid to us. Following any cancellation, however, you will continue to have access to the service through the end of your current subscription period.

Just going to throw this out there - I know dozens of very successful people that went to liberal arts colleges. Most don't actually major in liberal arts (but if you do, yikes).

Go to Menu, then Settings. Scroll down to the subscription section and at the bottom right corner you will see "Your subscription will automatically renew on xxx". There's a cancel button right below
Cheers! They certainly have the cancel hidden!

Liberal Arts is really a broad term that means you're getting a well-rounded education, which is very useful. My bachelor's was in Music - Liberal Arts. Classical guitar was my main focus, but I also had things like art history, web design, and other things. I changed my career path and got a master's in IT though.

A liberal arts graduate once told me, "Liberal arts teach you nothing, but get you ready for anything!"

lol i was having trouble finding the cancel subscription button when i saw it at the bottom and it was tiny as hell and in a light font that you could miss. Talk about trying to hide it. The next part was like having a little kid squeeze your leg and tell you not to leave while you go through like 3 screens to finally cancel the damn thing.

I used to work in the higher ed as a researcher. Majority of our students major in liberal arts. The #1 is psychology then follow by english/literature and political science. These 3 sits at the very top. It's sad because these are the same students that couldn't find any job or ended up with low paying careers. There's a national trend to push for STEM majors.
