FOR THE WARRANTY, ADD YOUR RECEIPT TO YOUR LOWE'S ACCOUNT AND KEEP EVERYTHING IT CAME WITH!!! (Including the bag and whatever else is inside the bag...)

The warranty on this is great, it's a 5-year warranty (for the tool, 3-year for the battery). If you don't add it to your MyLowes account (or save the receipt), they're not obligated to fulfill the warranty.

I got lucky last fall. The bit-less chuck went out in mine and the bits were almost IMPOSSIBLE to remove after doing the most basic jobs with it. I went to my local Lowe's and they saw that the date code was less than five years old, however it still needed a manager's approval and override. Even with the approval and override, I had to go back home to get everything it came with.

Regardless, I was jumping for joy that they warrantied it for me and promptly added the receipt to my account.

As a side note, when she took in the defective drill she gave me store credit (merchandise card maybe??), so I'm curious as to whether or not they would warranty my new one if it died. It looks like a normal store purchase on MyLowe's with no reference to the warranty exchange, so I'm guessing it has a brand new 5-year/3-year warranty.

picked up mine using curbside pickup immediately after I received the email that it's ready. The curbside attendant was surprised to see the final price 😂
"I've never seen this priced so low. you got a great deal!" was what they told me.
Did u use the coupon code that was provided in the comments or did u use your own code?

Just did online pick up with the $181 price then did price match to another store for $125. With $20 coupon, came out to $105.

Confirmed with online chat that store will PM before picking up just in case.

When I say 18v tools I'm talking about the ones advertised as 18v. They still consider their batteries as 90Wh at 5ah, so they must have measured the capacity using 18v regardless of what the tool actually uses.
Some companies use the actual operating voltage while others use an inflated MAX voltage. It becomes an unfair and inaccurate comparison if you don't take that into account when calculating watt-hours.

So you completed your whole order first and then got refunded or what process did you use?

Electrical engineer here...Don't know why there is so much confusion. First power (Watt) is a measure of work done. That's probably what you are interested in to determine how "powerful" a motor is. Then there is energy which is measured in Watt-hour or for battery often in amp-hour. The energy is how much juice it has in the tank, for example for a 100ah battery, you can have two equipment that either run 100amp for an hour or 10 amp for ten hours. Both will use the same total energy but obviously the one that runs 100amp has much higher power rating. The standard DC voltage class is 12V, 24V, 48V etc. it doesn't make sense to compare voltage. When motor or battery is unloaded the voltage should be close to the rated voltage 24V for example. But under load with the motor running, there will be a voltage drop and the instantaneous power is operating voltage x current draw. Forget the voltage, this thing should be rated in wattage like say a hair dryer 900W, 1,500W etc.then it would be a lot easier for consumers to understand and compare Apple to Apple. The battery capacity should be rated in hours at max amp drawn @operating voltage. So average joe can better relate and understand how long they can run the tool for.

Can you explain in more detail?
I'm interested in doing the same thing.

I chatted with 2 CS agent and 1 manager and got told that they dont price match between Lowes stores. They suggested I go to local store to confirm the price match policy

I'm doubtful it'll work now. I lucked out in that the csr applied the code for me before this became frontpage deal.. And I picked up the ordee while they seem to have realized it and were cancelling orders with this coupon code.

Easy solution. Buy another set and return the old one.

Can't get the code to work for the $20 off

How does this Craftsman set compare? One extra battery and $5 less without the coupon code.
