Last thing you want is the bag limiting your space.
*In fact, I got a larger bag and was able to hold folding chairs and such that are more vertical and was able to zip it up. I used a ratchet rope to keep all things as a solid bulk and makes for a EXCELLENT cargo. Much better than on roof storage, I leave that for light weight items.
I think I paid $60 for one and the rubber feel of the bag was nice and heafty. Used over a dozen times with no tears.
These (in the right size) are very useful for trips, not just for rain, but to expand storage of the cargo rack.
Probably will have to take off your plate and put it on the cargo or order an additional plate.
