Just don't apply the code and it becomes a $10 mount; much sturdier than a 6 dollar plastic bracket.
So are you against cell phone mounts in general? I find having gps on a mount is much safer driving around when you need directions than what I see most people doing, just holding their phone. That or people driving around lost... It's 2020 how the hell can you be lost in a car lol

The one pictured in black is "auto adjusting". As the weight of the phone hits the bottom support, and then sides pull in to hug the phone. My only wish is that there was a rubber pad on the left/right to hold it a bit tighter. Ended up buying another one though
