I know it's a YMMV wild goose chase but I've seen the Bronson Triple Threat set at a Big Lots for $5 (just today). There have been rumors of it showing up at Dollar Tree too (but I haven't seen it myself). I paid $6.49 for it from Fox 6 years ago, so the price has gone up.
While I'm not a fan of Death Proof (and still haven't watched Planet Terror even though I own both), I'm a huge Kurt Russell fan and it's worth watching solely to see him as Stuntman Mike. The Grindhouse pack is $9.99 on BB so it looks like the $7.99 price is an actual Amazon sale (so rare it's like seeing a shooting star).
