Ive ordered over a dozen pairs of glasses from eyedictive. Its always going to be a discontinued/ old model but its also always going to be genuine. Order with confidence if this is a good deal on a normally overpriced brand take it
I'm guessing discontinued because I found them in their 2018 and 2019 catalogs but not 2020.
Serengeti are, in my opinion, the best. I've had Ray Ban and Maui Jim's and the lenses on Serengeti are just better: less distortion and the world actually looks better with them on
They last forever, too: I just don't have mine anymore because I lose them after a few years. And even if they break due to a hard fall, I had one with a crack down the middle and you just didn't notice if you put them on. If I wasn't short on cash, I'd jump on these immediately.

$69? I hope that"s for 2-3 pair and not just one. And at that....too much $$$$ in a recession.
Hang in there... When the world finally comes to an end, you'll get your 2-3 pairs of high quality sunglasses 🕶 for $69. Until, then, try to keep your recession wishlist to yourself.
Reasons why I jumped on this deal and am about to do it again:
1. Extremely high quality: The tint on these is spectacular. Plenty of light reduction but details and contrast are crisp. It makes watching anything a more enjoyable experience.
2. Serengetti is not owned by Luxottica so I'm not buying from a monopoly and the quality remains very high (I'm looking at you Ray Ban).
3. High end sunglasses companies keep tight controls over pricing so you rarely ever see deals like this. They're discontinued models but they don't look any less stylish than current models.
4. I'm willing to spend more money on things I use frequently (daily in this case).
I've spent four times this amount on Maui Jims and still don't regret it. This is a steal if you appreciate good sunglasses.
did you own Jims sport model? How do these ERENGETI CERIALE POLARIZED FOLDABLE RIMLESS SPORT compare to Jims? I tried Jims once and they felt amazing but didnt want to spend 180. https://eyedictive.com/product/se...a50a240611
edit: I just went ahead and ordered them. I can return them for free with paypal.
LENS: trivex .. Is that real glass as well compare to the other 2 listed ? was hoping for real glass where they don't scratch as easily.. all my maui jim, ray ban and Oakley last only 1 1/2 before they all beat up.. wanted something i like that can last longer. so far, my favorite are Maui Jim Red Sand and Ray Band RB 4264
nvm: Trivex lenses, however, are composed of a urethane- based monomer and are made from a cast molding process similar to how regular plastic lenses are made .
Man I'm like 0/5 lately in ordering sunglasses online and being happy with them. I wish I could see these on someone's face but Serengeti apparently aren't all that popular.
Eh, pulled the trigger on the Carlos. Will probably regret. Does anyone have experience with Paypal refund on return shipping? I know you get a certain number of claims a year but I haven't done it yet.
you have to opt in first. you get 12 returns a year. it's awesome and I use it every time. just need to upload return label to get a refund.
Thanks for posting the deal OP. I wasn't planning on buying a pair but couldn't resist the deal on the etorre. I have heard great things regarding the blue lenses. This will be my 5th pair of serengeti's I've owned over the past 25 years. I have highly sensitive eyes and need to have a pair of sunglasses with me at all times of the day. My current rotation includes another paper of serengeti's, Maui Jim, and a pair of Smith. My favorite glasses overall are serengeti's with Maui Jim coming in second.
I just buy mine on eBay as they come up. However, get educated on the lens colors, because some of them are very weird. The safe bet is always the PX3000 green. I tried Skilynx, and was put off by the ghastly yellow tint but it would let me see otherwise invisible contrails weirdly enough.
I haven't tried CityLynx, a newer bluish color for all-around use.
My current favorites are some Swing 1611's they are very comfortable - one-piece titanium frame - picked them up on eBay for a good price.
The new color on the block is Nightlynx; they're supposed to let people see better in the dark. I'd like to try them out but ... $$$.
EDIT: Let me add - they are never counterfeited - no-one to sell them to.
I just saw a real good price for glacier ones style 430 SMALL for $113 so look for 'em on eBay. these normally go for a lot more don't know what's going on there.
Can you trust those ebays items? I haven't touched ebay in a long time because of knockoffs.
Vuarnet is too uncommon to "knockoff" (no money in it) - I have yet to see one and have bought/sold many on eBay. How many people do you know that wear Vuarnet sunglasses? Not many, I reckon.
I have the green and the brown lens. I was skeptical about the brown for my daily drivers but what a difference over long drives. The short ones are either way green or brown. My eyes had to get used to the brown but it's great. I love my ray bans but these look a lot clearer especially driving around the desert areas where everything looks the same.
you should stop buying bottled water too, they literally getting their water for free
those 99 cent glasses doesn't do anything close to these you're buying.
back in the days when I was poor I used to buy these $5 ones and I'd just don't want to wear it, because they're flimsy and uncomfortable, and they aren't polarized, once you go polarized you won't want to wear anything else.

Here's a great page discussing some of the lens styles.

These vintage guys bought a pair of normal sized glaciers from me on eBay - I couldn't sell them for as much as these guys want.

Photo chromatic are supposed to darken in bright light.
The sunglasses I buy by the bucket at the 99 cent store look just as good and work just as well. And I don't cry when I lose a pair every week.
