The only thing that really sucks about this Blackstone combo is that there are basically zero accessories available for it. I've had to coble together solutions like a cover for outdoor storage and a cover for the griddle.
That being said, I'm not sure I would have bought this again. A separate grill and griddle is easier to use.
Both sides are small so do not expect to do a lot of entertaining with this. The griddle side is good, just really small if cooking for more than a few people.
Maintenance on the griddle side is a little bit of a pain. Rusts at the first sight of moisture - including humidity and morning dew. After it rusts, it's a whole lot of heating up oil, scraping, scrubbing, wiping, scrubbing. Even at the end of all of that, you'll still be eating a bit of oxidized metal because it never truly comes clean again.
I was really disappointed in the charcoal side. I'm a huge fan of charcoal so was excited for this combo but was let down. Sure, it holds lit charcoal and has a grate. The problem is that this doesn't come with a hood! So you basically have hot coals wide open with no way to control temp or smoke aside from lowering or raising the coal holder. If you do get this, use way less charcoal than you think you need: if you need more heat you can raise the holder, but if it's too hot and you've already got the basket on the lowest setting, you can't get any cooler. If it's too hot, you'll end up with raw meat on the inside and burnt outside; wasting time & money.
As others have said: Consider a full size griddle if you're looking at Blackstone. It's what they specialize in.
