That would be a sweet deal then. I know I added 4 new lines with TMO thru Costco in July. I summited my rebates for $100 each line that same night. Then I ordered 4 new phones from TMO online by doing a upgrade on those lines. Well anyways those lines qualified for T-mobile current promos because it was done within the 14 day remorse period.

I bought 2 iPhone SE 2020 for $200 off each, a one plus 8 for $350 off and a iPhone 11 for $700 off with eligible port in plus trading in a iPhone 8. So most people on Slickdeals told me I would not get both Promo. Anyways I just checked on rebate status yesterday and I was approved for all 4 rebates and it said mailing date was 9-17. I'm pretty stoked about this deal.

Ok, i got through and called T-mobile. So apparently I got a CS that is a supervisor who has been with t-mobile for 10+ years. She said that I would qualify for $250 rebate promo even if the new line was added at Costco, because they are adding a t-mobile line. She read the terms carefully and made sure my plan qualified for this promo.

Now the bad news: After she said i qualified, I bought a ATT number on ebay while she was still talking. I told her give me a minute to find my pin# and account #. it was after I bought the number that she told me that the ported in number has to be a Postpaid number, not prepaid! I am pretty sure all numbers bought on ebay for porting are prepaid numbers! Argggh. Well, at that point since I already bought the number (which expires in 3 days), i went ahead with the port anyways. i guess we will see.

Long story short, this supervisor confirmed you can still get the rebate if you did the add in at Costco byod, but it has to be a postpaid number you are porting.

This doesn't mean you will get both 250 from tmb and 100 from Costco (but it may). I would submit the tmobile rebate before the Costco.
Got a response from tforce. Either postpaid or prepaid number should work.

I did the previous T-mo BYOD $200 Deal in April this year with 4 lines. The GC codes were sent to the phones exactly 30 days after activation. I transferred their balances to my bank account the next day. Then waited another 10 days and called T-mo to cancel the lines and close the account. No "clawback" on the GCs. They also sent me a partial refund for the 2nd month about 4 weeks later.
how did u transfer card balance to bank ?

Had to do instore because today was last billing day with AT&T, couldn't wait for shipping of the SIM. Terrible decision. They charge $30 plus tax for every line. 4 lines costed $120 plus tax, just to port-in, not even considering the plan cost!

The only carrier that I see such higher cost to start doing business with. I know online is $10+tax, still higher than others where SIM is free or like $1.

I was denied at the store and customer service for any refund for this very high activation fee. Not nice.
My local TMO authorized retail store did it for free. 4 lines/port-ins, 4 sim cards. No charge - $0 payment in-store. Big Grin

I'm glad you were treated differently. At the time, I could not really argue because it was this or nothing. It wasn't easy to pay $120 just to give them business. I'll milk everything I can with this deal, and leave them.

Does anyone know if Verizon or ATT offer similar deals like this ? I have Tmobile for years but TMobile has not offered a single deal for existing customers... I called to add a free line; they said my plan does not qualify..
So I will cancel Tmobile and comet back to get one of these good promotions...
AT&T BYOD $250 promo is still going.

were they virtual cards that you were able to transfer balance to bank account?
Yes, they were virtual cards. The link that they texted for the GCs went to a web site/app and among the options were to transfer the balance to your bank account (overnight) at no charge. The GCs for the earlier deal were issued by Sunrise Bank. The current deal says the GCs are issued by MetaBank, which also issued the Sprint GCs. If you did the Sprint deal and chose virtual card, then you know they were a pain to cash out.

Any body faced this ..I have 8 lines on my TMobile one and for adding this free line they are saying they can't extend my current plan I will have to move to magenta which is costing 50 bucks more for the same amount of lines I have currently
Yeah, happened to me in June. I had 8 lines and added a free one after confirming 3+ times that no other changes will be made. It was a nightmare. I lost all of my promos because the system automatically converted it to a magenta plan. It took 6 weeks or calling and chatting and I still didn't get all of my promos back (but I did manage to get the price to be roughly the same as before).

I don't know. My previous deal was done under my wife's name. I'm doing this deal under my name. I think this deal is available to current customers.

I was trying to do a checkout on T-mo site, and it was running a credit check. Then it said "Looks like you're a Sprint customer. please login to Sprint to complete your order". (I was a Sprint customer until July to do their BYOD deal, and had ported out my lines and closed the account). So I logged into my Sprint account and it knows nothing about this T-mo offer. Chatted with a Sprint rep and he knew nothing about it either. He suggested that I go to a local T-mo store to place my order. Did anyone run into the same problem?

I don't know the answer. The Promo Terms say "If you have cancelled voice lines in past 90 days, reactivate them first", whatever that means.
