That would be a sweet deal then. I know I added 4 new lines with TMO thru Costco in July. I summited my rebates for $100 each line that same night. Then I ordered 4 new phones from TMO online by doing a upgrade on those lines. Well anyways those lines qualified for T-mobile current promos because it was done within the 14 day remorse period.

I bought 2 iPhone SE 2020 for $200 off each, a one plus 8 for $350 off and a iPhone 11 for $700 off with eligible port in plus trading in a iPhone 8. So most people on Slickdeals told me I would not get both Promo. Anyways I just checked on rebate status yesterday and I was approved for all 4 rebates and it said mailing date was 9-17. I'm pretty stoked about this deal.

I was trying to do a checkout on T-mo site, and it was running a credit check. Then it said "Looks like you're a Sprint customer. please login to Sprint to complete your order". (I was a Sprint customer until July to do their BYOD deal, and had ported out my lines and closed the account). So I logged into my Sprint account and it knows nothing about this T-mo offer. Chatted with a Sprint rep and he knew nothing about it either. He suggested that I go to a local T-mo store to place my order. Did anyone run into the same problem?
I thought you said you were going to take a break LMAO

In-store, you also have issues. At the end of the process (after filling and scanning everything), it will prevent the rep from continuing telling you are a Sprint customer. You are Sprint cursed.
They will have to contact phone store support, and they will do EVERYTHING AGAIN over the phone. You'll have to inform your SSN and PIN on their phone for everybody to hear. This can easily take 40 minutes. Only then, you'll be able to continue with the port-ins. In my case, they were "happy" to do it charging $30 PER LINE (per SIM) for a total of $120 plus tax for four lines. I asked for a waiver and was denied. That of course not even including the cost of the plan. It's that bad. Some people get it full or partially waived. I went to a T-Mobile store (not authorized retail) and they were not nice enough to waive anything.

The only reason I don't regret is because T-Mobile seems safer with the rebates, so at the end it is still profitable, but much less than I originally thought.

Check how much your time is worth, but my guess is that you have a lot of free time lol Peace

I don't know the answer. The Promo Terms say "If you have cancelled voice lines in past 90 days, reactivate them first", whatever that means.
This could cause a problem, we don't know. Like you, I ported out lines from Sprint (it was already T-Mobile). It was less than 90 days ago. It would mean you have to reactivate them (bring all of them back), to be eligible to do additional port-ins and earn rebate on these new ported-in lines (not on the reactivated lines).

This could make you fully ineligible for any rebate this time.

Exactly, that would make you ineligible for the rebate if these old numbers (your "same numbers") were cancelled in the last 90 days and you do not reactivate them before bringing new numbers. Only the new numbers would qualify for the rebate, and only if you reactivate (port them back in) all lines that were cancelled in the past 90 days.

That is my conservative interpretation. I think they learned lessons from the last rebate offered.

I'm chatting with a T-mo rep, and he's wasting my time, asking who my current carrier is (AT&T), what I don't like about them, what I like about them, etc.

Me neither. I'm bringing 4 new numbers from AT&T (2 from my current AT&T deal and 2 just bought on Ebay today).

So is the normal procedure to get the free new line and then port once you receive the SIM card in the mail and then fill out the form? The OP says fill out the form first, how can you do that without porting?

Also, is it possible to just use any Tmobile sim or do I have to wait for the one that comes in the mail?

And can you port yourself online?

I was going to take a break, but the profit is too tempting Smilie. I'm retired, so I have plenty of free time.

That is true. The T-mo rep sent me a link to complete my order (it has t-mo in the URL), but it took me right to the Sprint login screen. Looks like I wasted $14 for the two AT&T number I just bought on Ebay.

I wonder if I can use them.

While I ~was~ a Sprint account holder like hpham, I am currently, and have been for several months, a TMo user (two lines). My plan was to port four numbers in for a total of six.

I may head to Costco tomorrow to complete this. Anyone see any issues?

BTW, I'm not going for the free line offer, as that would void the $250 BYOD on that line.

My math: 4 x ($250 + $100[Costco]) = $1400.00.

2 months x $110 (increase in monthly bill delta) = $220.00.

Net = $1180.00

So, this is a BYOD deal only? If you finance a new phone on the new line, you don't get the $250 promo?

I run into a similar problem at my local TMO authorized retail store. I ported out my Sprint numbers in January and still my Sprint account was still 'open' so it was preventing the store rep from creating my TMO account. I spent over 1 hour at the store. The store rep had to call the TMO support line to get things straightened out. In the end it was worth it because my 4 lines (2 AT&T, 2 Visible) were ported in for free - no charge for the 4 SIM cards. I didn't have to a penny at the store! Big Grin

Where did you see Free line promo will invalidate the BYOD promo?

By the way, this reddit post said costco is not an eligible channel for the $250 BYOD promo:
