I'm with T-Mobile but not as a primary account holder. Using different email/contact phone number I think the system would recognize me as a new subscriber So the plan would be to set up a totally different account:

- set up 4 lines on Essential with 4 SIM cards
- buy 4 ATT numbers on ebay
- complete port in and submit rebate

With 2 months of service (200) plus SIM cost (40) plus number cost (24) I am paying 264. So the net profit would be 736. Decisions... ....

Don't forget to add taxes & fees to the monthly plan and SIM cost.

I've canceled/transferred out paid lines in the past after getting a free line in less than a year and all my free lines are intact. I never attempted to change the number on the free lines though, kept them as they were the day I got 'em... don't think you would lose the free line...
When you canceled paid lines, did it interfere with your plan promo? Like if you have the free 3rd line with magenta, and you canceled 2 out of say 4 paid lines, that you're able to keep the 3rd line and the separate free line on us?

Maybe a dumb question.

Do you still get off $5 per line with AutoPay if the lines are free?
Paid lines only. T-mobile is not going to pay you $5 per month to maintain your free line.

Question for the T-mobile experts here:

I have T-mobile One (SOC is FRLTULF2) . I have 5 lines total on this account, the most recent of which are 2 free lines.

When I first signed up with T-mobile back in the day, I signed up for 2 lines. Those lines are the primary lines that have One Plus, and I do not want to cancel them. A year later, I added a third paid line. And then this year, I have added the 2 free lines per the recent promos offered.

I really do not need 5 lines. Can I cancel the third paid line and not mess up anything on my account? I don't want to mess with the two free lines or the other two paid primary lines. I do not have any outstanding device bills on the third line, but I do on one of the primary lines and one of the free lines, if any of that even matters.

Thanks for any help. I would really like to ditch that 3rd paid line if possible.

Mine is the simple choice plan and did not have issues with that. Don't know how cancelations will play out for other plans
I don't see any reason why you can't cancel the other 2 lines and keep the free ones though

I am very new to this process and when i try to apply promo code while in checkouts for sim cards, it says "Please enter a valid promo code."

At what stage do we need to apply the "2020BYOD1" code.

I am porting 4 lines. Do i need to enter 4 different Code 2 for the 20% discount, or will the same code 2 work for all 4 lines? I am asking because when I go to https://insider.t-mobile.com/ it asks for a code associated with each phone number that I plan to port. Thanks.

So would this be the best plan to maximize return for new customer:

Sign up two lines online/direct, Magenta $120, collect $500 Prepaid gift card w/in terms timeframe
Add 1 more line at Costco, collect $100 Costco GC --> Should be no charge for this line?
