That would be a sweet deal then. I know I added 4 new lines with TMO thru Costco in July. I summited my rebates for $100 each line that same night. Then I ordered 4 new phones from TMO online by doing a upgrade on those lines. Well anyways those lines qualified for T-mobile current promos because it was done within the 14 day remorse period.

I bought 2 iPhone SE 2020 for $200 off each, a one plus 8 for $350 off and a iPhone 11 for $700 off with eligible port in plus trading in a iPhone 8. So most people on Slickdeals told me I would not get both Promo. Anyways I just checked on rebate status yesterday and I was approved for all 4 rebates and it said mailing date was 9-17. I'm pretty stoked about this deal.

4 lines on the Essential plan are still going to be cheaper than 4 lines on Magenta with 20% off Hookup code, correct?

- 4 lines on Essential: $105 plus taxes
- 4 lines on Magenta: $112 (140 * 0.8) plus taxes

Is anyone else doing it just to 'score' the 'free' $700 (1000 less cost of service for 2 months, SIM costs, ATT number costs)?
For me at least, 4 lines on magenta is cheaper because taxes in NYC is about 30%.

Taxes & fees are included in the price of Magenta Plan.

Thanks for the note about taxes! Totally missed that. It makes it more compelling to actually go for the Magenta with 20% hookup discount.

This is great! It's super helpful Applause

I'm going to port-in 4 lines (BYOD) and I registered for the hook up 20% type 1 yesterday (9/22).

I will be out of hook from previous Verizon deal on Oct 2nd, so here are my questions:

#1 - When will be a good time to place an order (Magenta plan) as new customer under BYOD? Someone mentioned that it may take up to 5 days to receive my sim cards.
I'm planing to order the sim cards this Friday (9/25).

#2 - Am I still eligible for the hook up promotion if I activate my Tmo service on Oct. 3rd?

#3 - Does my Tmo billing cycle start from (9/25) or after I activated my service on Oct. 3rd?

Thanks!
Hookup can be used within 14 days of activation. So apply hookup on 30th sept. To be safe place order on 1st october online is my opinion as verizon has a clawback clause which imo may be more dangerous

Give them a call at 611 or message them. I called and it was all pretty easy and quick and the port when through in minutes (nearly instantaneous in my case). You'll need to tell them the T-Mobile number you want to replace and give them the new phone #, account #, and account pin.
just called a rep and he said that we will have to reply to text message from att if we want to port-out to tmobile. he said it is a recent change. hope tmobile did not catch up to the ebay sellers. has anyone else been told about this?

Don't you also lose a hard credit pull and need FOUR unlocked phones? If approved, they'll text you links to redeem those GC. I don't know if it's needed to be 4 different phones though, but rep told me I do need 4 unlocked phones hence "BYOD", lol. I do have 5 phones, but they're being used w/ 5 different lines already. Any suggestion for easier method to avoid 4 more unlocked phones?

I'm still mulling this over. Seems almost doesn't worth the headaches for netting $700ish? What happens if it takes 3 billing cycles, since you cannot time it perfectly and cancellation is NOT pro-rated. So then net even less than $700... Am I right?

It works for folks who move over their actual lines and/ or some other ones to a max of 4 lines

Yes, but it will require you to go in store to T-Mobile to try and get it done. See OP
