That would be a sweet deal then. I know I added 4 new lines with TMO thru Costco in July. I summited my rebates for $100 each line that same night. Then I ordered 4 new phones from TMO online by doing a upgrade on those lines. Well anyways those lines qualified for T-mobile current promos because it was done within the 14 day remorse period.

I bought 2 iPhone SE 2020 for $200 off each, a one plus 8 for $350 off and a iPhone 11 for $700 off with eligible port in plus trading in a iPhone 8. So most people on Slickdeals told me I would not get both Promo. Anyways I just checked on rebate status yesterday and I was approved for all 4 rebates and it said mailing date was 9-17. I'm pretty stoked about this deal.

I'm still mulling this over. Seems almost doesn't worth the headaches for netting $700ish? What happens if it takes 3 billing cycles, since you cannot time it perfectly and cancellation is NOT pro-rated. So then net even less than $700... Am I right?
Is $700 worth the headache? The answer varies from people to people. For someone who's still busy working, making a lot of money, it's probably not worth it. For a retiree like me, with lots of free time and doesn't mind the tasks required, it's definitely worth it. Before retiring, I worked in mainframe IT earning $50+/hr, so I earned more than $700 in two work days. Nowadays, I sit around all week earning nothing. So $700 is worth it.

Wrong assumption. I don't know how anal T-mo is about it, but AT&T tried to deny BYOD rewards for numbers that had been with AT&T years ago. They call it a "win back" number. At least, I think T-mo and Sprint only require the number to be ported out from T-mo/Sprint 90 days ago or more. That's to prevent current customers from switching out for a short term, then switch back as "new customers" to qualify for deals.
This rule only applies for the same acct holder. For example, if i ported back those numbers that were active on Sprint within 90 days but under diff acct holder / name, etc., that should be ok. That's my understanding.

So rep told me that I can't get $250 per line AND 3rd line free. It's only one or the other. Was the rep misinformed?

Yes, you can cancel L3 AFTER 1 year from the date you added the free 5th line (2020 Line on us 2) or you will end up losing BOTH your free L4 and L5 and any EIP discounts on L4 and L5

Do not add any more lines that require discounts or your 1 year will further extends.

For example you could have canceled your L3 on 7/1/2021 (say you added L4 on 6/28/20). However, today you add free L5, now your new 1 year resets to the date after the statement cycle that includes 9/22/2021. Wait until that statement closes after 9/22/2021 before you cancel paid L3.
But he can add new L6, L7, L8, L9 lines (this is after getting L4, L5 for free) for this promo as an example. If he cancels L6 thru L9 after 2-3 months, that shouldn't affect L4/L5 status since they are added after the fact. Is that correct?

That's the way it should be. But AT&T tried to deny rewards to people who came from T-mo (for example) but their numbers were used on AT&T by someone else way back in the past. They had to fight with AT&T to get the rewards.

I already had 10 max voice lines. One of my lines had to move out today and so I'm left with 9 lines. Can i take advantage of this or any good offer? Can probably port in a google voice number? Is it too soon to score a free line + $250 add a line deal?

Any thoughts/advise?

Thank you

Thanks. AT&T promo is a headache and so I have avoided it for now.

I called Sprint Credit dept today to ask them to close my No CC acct (used for $300 promo). That way I can get new TMo acct. The lady said the acct is already closed and I shouldn't have an issue opening up a new TMo acct. But that is not the case you and others have experienced. What was the exact error reported? I want to call them and tell them about it. Thx

Check out this reddit thread on the subject about port out/in and new account holder SSN :

I believe if you are just doing BYOD then it doesn't have x days out of tmo.. it should just meet portin from att or other carriers they said. I asked this as my numbers were with sprint BYOD then moved to att and now will move to T-Mobile

Yes. Answered in post 953; I've done it myself in the previous hookup offer in 2019 after the fact.
