That would be a sweet deal then. I know I added 4 new lines with TMO thru Costco in July. I summited my rebates for $100 each line that same night. Then I ordered 4 new phones from TMO online by doing a upgrade on those lines. Well anyways those lines qualified for T-mobile current promos because it was done within the 14 day remorse period.

I bought 2 iPhone SE 2020 for $200 off each, a one plus 8 for $350 off and a iPhone 11 for $700 off with eligible port in plus trading in a iPhone 8. So most people on Slickdeals told me I would not get both Promo. Anyways I just checked on rebate status yesterday and I was approved for all 4 rebates and it said mailing date was 9-17. I'm pretty stoked about this deal.

I believe if you are just doing BYOD then it doesn't have x days out of tmo.. it should just meet portin from att or other carriers they said. I asked this as my numbers were with sprint BYOD then moved to att and now will move to T-Mobile
My chat with T Mobile rep informed me that the Sprint number has to 90+ days out of Sprint/T-Mobile to be eligible for the promotion. The safest option is to use numbers that were not in Sprint or T-Mobile network in the last 90 days. If you hear otherwise please let us know. I am in the same boat with a couple of lines in ATT (before that in Sprint) that I would like to port over as my gift cards are in the mail at this time. I can use my wife's SSN inn T Mobile to avoid conflict with the account in Sprint that is in my SSN. I am going to wait till this weekend to see if there is some clarity on this deal.

For someone like me who has a zombie Sprint account, the T-mo ordering site asked for info (name, address, DOB, SSN, etc) to run a credit check. Then it came back with a screen saying looks like you're a Sprint customer. If you click on the box to sign into Sprint, it takes you there but Sprint has no info about the BYOD deal. If you click on the X to close that pop-up screen, then it'll ask again for the info to run the credit check, and comes back with the same error screen. There's no way to get around it.
Thanks for the info, I believe you are using your daughters SSN for this deal - are you porting in numbers that were in the sprint deal and < 90 days out of sprint or using new numbers to be safe?

Give them a call at 611 or message them. I called and it was all pretty easy and quick and the port when through in minutes (nearly instantaneous in my case). You'll need to tell them the T-Mobile number you want to replace and give them the new phone #, account #, and account pin.
Thanks did that. Works perfect!

I'm winding down my AT&T deal but the numbers were Boost (Sprint) numbers. Just for peace of mind, I ported them to H2O, then bought new AT&T numbers on Ebay to do the deal.

I have 2 lines from at&t. one was originally from Sprint. I decide not to use that line for this promotion. Dont wanna risk $250 for this. I think its better for you to buy at&t line on ebay.

I have no hope lol. The T-Mobile rep was supposed to call me back today to get my info and never did, AT&T will bill me extra month if I don't port out by tomorrow but I don't feel like paying $120 or whatever is that they are charging to do the deal in store.

Well, it's not hopeless. Call Sprint to kill your account, then order online through T-mo again. If that takes a few days, you'll have to start a new AT&T cycle, but you'll get a refund for most of that when you port out. Still cheaper than paying $120 to do the deal in-store.

Can someone suggest the best way to get a portable number? I have read people suggesting $7ish from ebay. Is there a better way?

Oh man, I actually wanted to use their service for 2 of the 4 lines that were with Sprint and are now on Visible.

Now y'all got me paranoid that I need all brand new numbers from eBay to do this deal 🤔

I think ebay $7 is the best option right now.

But he can add new L6, L7, L8, L9 lines (this is after getting L4, L5 for free) for this promo as an example. If he cancels L6 thru L9 after 2-3 months, that shouldn't affect L4/L5 status since they are added after the fact. Is that correct?
First of all, OP is on Tmobile One w/ 8 capped lines plan so he cannot get L9 w/o changing plan and that's minefield in itself. Beyond line 8, there are lot of "backend" changes like autopay drops off, certain discounts are not compatible, etc. You'll need to do some research on here and reddit.

Next, say OP just wants 3 more lines, it depends on the T&C of L6 - L8 and associated discounts with those lines. Also, keep in mind, one cannot close the line for 1 year AND cannot have canceled line 90 days prior to take advantage of new discounted lines/promos or keep old discounts/promos.

Basically it's a way for Tmobile to "force" you into a contract plan if you want to keep those discounts/credits/promos that tie to those lines.
