According to that review, the MSRP for this drive is $99, so that would mean this isn't actually a deal at all.

EDIT: Looked at some other retailers and it looks like this is currently around $119 normally, so it is a decent discount.

Even if the price is MSRP, sometimes that's still be considered as deal if the price is really competitive to start with. For example, the Acer Swift 3 laptop with Ryzen 7 4700u is priced at $670 and even with that price, it went to FP multiple times because even with MSRP, the price performance ratio is too good.

i bought a 1TB WD SN550 for $95 about a week ago.. it's a bit faster than this and double the IOPS, so i think there are definitely better deals to be had.

Just because yuou have purchased SN550 does not make it faster than this. SN550 is the value series DRAM less SSD which means it does not have any Ram for caching and instead relies on the System Ram which is a slower process. This one is having DDR4 memory for caching and normally SSD with DRAM memory are faster than budget DRAM less solutions. So, just check some reviews before claiming.
Here is your so called subperior SN550's review:
https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...-ssd-yet/2
And A200 review:
https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...nvme-ssd/2

Why don't you check these out first, especially the PCMark results?

And it has full encryption/security suite like the top-tier drives from Samsung, Crucial. and Intel.

i am aware it is DRAM less, it does not make a huge difference in benchmarks and in fact, beats several other SSDs with DRAM.. it uses other method to achive the same purpose and most people will be able to tell zero difference. i've use both types and even Windows 10 performance is the same (booting time, etc)...
Then why are you claiming that it is faster than This one? And Windows 10 boot time is not really a measure of PCIe SSD performance; even a basic PCIe NVMe SDD will give you same performance for Windows 10 Booting time. Anyway, I have given the actual review links for both SSDs done by Tom's Hardware; check that out. No need to believe you or I am claiming.

I don't think those qualify to be on here to be honest. Most people on this site are looking for discounts. Not just items that are good value to begin with

There are multiple deals posted here with MSRP and made it to Popular and FP. In fact, I have given the example of the Acer Swift 3 Laptop with Ryzen 7 4700U. The MSRP is $669.99 and with that price or may be just $10 less, it went to FP multiple times.

anyway, go read the review posted, because it for its price, it fairs pretty well against others that cost more..
Yes Sure. Just point me what part of the review you want me to look. But from your answers, it looks like that moral of the story is since scub has purchased SN550, it has to be faster than any similarly priced NVMe SSDs, irrespective of what reviewers have found out.
