Any word on the quality of this tent? can't seem to find any reviews.
The weight is good at around 5lbs. Constructions seems solid. Are the materials durable?

For the 2 person tent, the tent materials are pretty thin (20D and 30D ripstop), but the footprint is reasonably thick (75D ripstop). It's a bit on the small side for a 2 person tent (29 sq ft vs 32+ for many others). The side walls should be relatively vertical, so hopefully it's big enough as I placed an order a couple days ago! The 2p tent looks to be a knock-off of the MSR Hubba Hubba NX.

5lb for a 2 person is probably closer to my old Kelty grand mesa than my MSR Hubba or Big Agnes Copper Spur. Reasonable for overnight packing, but probably too heavy for a multinight. Material weight seems fairly standard for backpacking tents.

I'd be interested to know what the weight of the footprint is. Ditching it for something light and cheap like polycro might save you 6-8oz. At 4 1/2 lbs and $79, you're going to be hard pressed to find a better deal.

That being said you'll be taking a gamble on a no-name brand tent. I'm a fan of Monoprice and have one of their Pure Outdoor coolers. But who knows how well this thing will hold up. Wanting to keep food cool in a cooler vs needing to stay dry in a tent while you sleep are two very different things.

Eh debatable. That's as thick as many ultra light tents. It is thin for it's weight, I agree. but should be durable enough with being careful. Many ultra lights are 20D.

Intrigued by the 4p but there is only one opinion out there.

This thing looks identical to my REI passage 2. Canopy and all, same color scheme as well.

The Q&A also says the packed weight includes the second set of stakes as well. Still too heavy for what it is. If you're on an under $100 budget, there are ozark tents that weight less.

If anyone grabs the 4p, please weigh parts and let us know... suspect swapping for a different footprint and titanium stakes might make this a win, and there aren't many options for larger affordable backpacking tents...

Want to pull the trigger but I keep staring at the seam that runs the bottom from door to door

I bought it on the 1st sale for $160 (and trying to get a refund on the difference). At $120 this is s steal imo.

Great tent; btw, I'm almost positive the listed weight "includes" the 2nd set of stakes. I got the 4 man tent and was quite pleased with quality; an unexpected rain and cold snap hit and it kept me and the pup warm and dry all weekend.

My only complaint is the instructions, they sucked; however, the 2nd set up will be a breeze now that I know how it's assembled.

Any issues with that seam on the bottom? Did you use the footprint when it was raining?

5-8lb is ridiculous for a "backpacking" tent. For $80 not sure what else is out there though. If it's quality, seems like a good deal for a car camping tent.

Edit: the weight definitely does include the second set of stakes and a bag. So I'm guessing you can subtract almost a pound, which is still not great but not too awful if you're splitting it with others. But this is really still more of a car camping tent, no matter what they call it.
