The Microsoft Store also just rolled out the 20% discount on (a permanent license for) Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. This is a better deal if you're a Game Pass subscriber (or trial user, too) and want the Deluxe or Premium Deluxe editions:

I went ahead and bought this last week, and I was already using my xbox gamepass trial (which I bought because I knew this would be available as the "standard" version, so I could "try before I buy"). So I bought the Premium (full) version, thinking that I could play this even after my trial is over (or after I cancel it after that first month trial).
I haven't cancelled it yet, and my son occasionally plays this on his PC (the standard version) - not the full upgrade version I bought.
I was just in the middle of using the sim this evening, and I was logged out of Xbox live on my PC. I figured maybe my son was trying to play it upstairs, and I was right - he had launched the "standard" version on his computer. So now I have questions!
Obviously if I cancel gamepass, he wouldn't have access to it anymore, but I suppose he might still be able to install my version if he is signed in on my account. But in order to use the full version I bought, so I still have to be signed into my microsoft account on my PC, or can it run without that? I am assuming that the reason I got booted is because the same account was signed in on 2 pcs at once?
PMDG will come with some version of 737
I did. But it was largely ignored. Which seems odd bc I am guessing there are many wondering the same when deciding what edition to buy.
