For everyone who keeps questioning the warranty information:

The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)

So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Hope this helps clarify things a bit...

Sony's pushing it as part of their "PS5 Ready" series and is actually one of the few TV's capable of gaming 4K at 120 Frames...however this tv will not do it out the box until a firmware update Sony has yet to push. It's assumed they'll do it closer to PS5 launch Source: https://www.techradar.com/news/sony-ps5-ready-tv

I mean you bought this way back in July. So you've enjoyed this TV for about 2 months while others patiently waited. Maybe just go to Costco and see if they will price adjust without all the hassles of returning. Cause you returning will just cause your TV to get sent back to Sony and they will then have to sell it as refurbished and then reship it somewhere else to sell. The carbon footprint of all this is huge.

Is Costco's 30 day price adjustment window from the day of purchase online or the day of delivery?

Anyone know if I can plug my roommate's costo membership number when I order it from Costco.com? We live at the same address but he and his ex wife share their Costo account.

Not sure exactly what the Costo.com really verifies or checks. All I see is a spot to enter membership number. If I enter his, will that be good enough?

Thanks!
You can, I'm using my inlaws number

That's funny in a sad pathetic way. I'm not referring to your roommate.

My TV pulled the latest firmware last night for anyone wondering. I have no hdmi 2.1 port devices yet but do have a ps5 on preorder so will reply back when it comes out how well it plays.

You're making no sense. He just told me he had a Costco membership and I tried to use it and it said expired last year. Not sure what you're getting at really. You're a little slow on being obvious it seems.

Curious, how many people received the TV with zero dead pixel ? Or the general consumer just don't check or care?

I'm noticing sort of a "static" effect of white dots all on my screen on a black screen. I've seen this before on an old DVD player my wife has had forever, she said it just always did it. It's faint and probably not even noticeable once a picture comes on the screen. But since it's brand new I want to be sure it's not an issue with the set itself. Anyone have any suggestions?

Is anyone experiencing crashing and self-rebooting issue since the firmware update? It's been a daily occurrence for me.
