For everyone who keeps questioning the warranty information:

The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)

So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Hope this helps clarify things a bit...

Sony's pushing it as part of their "PS5 Ready" series and is actually one of the few TV's capable of gaming 4K at 120 Frames...however this tv will not do it out the box until a firmware update Sony has yet to push. It's assumed they'll do it closer to PS5 launch Source: https://www.techradar.com/news/sony-ps5-ready-tv

I mean you bought this way back in July. So you've enjoyed this TV for about 2 months while others patiently waited. Maybe just go to Costco and see if they will price adjust without all the hassles of returning. Cause you returning will just cause your TV to get sent back to Sony and they will then have to sell it as refurbished and then reship it somewhere else to sell. The carbon footprint of all this is huge.

Curious, how many people received the TV with zero dead pixel ? Or the general consumer just don't check or care?
I haven't. Have you?

Is anyone experiencing crashing and self-rebooting issue since the firmware update? It's been a daily occurrence for me.
Change the remote control RS232 setting to SERIAL.

I have one stuck pixel (only obvious if it's on a white background) , I can't tell if I should keep it or chance it. A replacement is coming Monday and they are hauling the other away. What did you end up doing Michael ? Keep getting replacement ?

For anybody who bought the 85" recently, it just dropped by $200 today (I'd bought one last week). Can put in for a price adjustment!

It's automatic, Sony changed the warranty on their end. You can register on their site and you'll see the dates

My tv powers on I see the Sony logo then the android then black screen
I push the power button on the tv and it only gives me the option to change channels, volume or input although it won't actually change the input

Anyone else get one like this? I'm returning it tomorrow unless I'm missing something?

By the way this is how it's been out of the box

very excited for this TV. I ordered mine 65", for a white glove delivery date 11/20, that way if a better BF deal comes up, I can cancel before delivery.

Seems like a good all-rounder that's good price-performance and reliable. Equipped with good true black, great contrast, good HDR brightness, 4k/120hz/HDMI 2.1, great motion, geat upscaling. Not to mention the Costco warranty is worth at least another $200 in value, and with white glove, if something is wrong they can pick it up from our home

We mostly watch movies in dim lit room, YouTube, or other streaming services. I considered other TV
-LG CX OLED - too costly and most of the benefit is dark movie viewing
-LG Nano - was cheaper but the picture quality was lower because of IPS
-Samsung Q7DT - not FALD or 4k120hz, Q8DT is too expensive
-TCL 6 series - I have a TCL with vertile banding issue, which is fine, but the fact that Costco doesn't carry it made it a no-deal
-Hisense H9G - Most convincing competitor but the price is exactly the same but doesn't have 4k120hz. Picture quality is better but probably not noticeable but where as lack of 4k120hz will be. And that Costco doesn't carry this, since it seems to have some quality control issues
-Vizio - lack of 4k/120hz/hdmi 2.1 and lot more expensive than this Sony

This Sony X900H just seems like a promotional TV deal for the launch of PS5 that wouldn't otherwise exist. Funny how watching a ton of youtube video reviews and AVSforum, and SD made the choice for me. At least I don't have to obsess about this anymore till BF ads come out ...

I also went back and forth between the 65" X900H and CX OLED. I know everyone swears by OLED but in the end I just couldn't justify double the price for a small bump in PQ and black levels. Honestly, the only thing that was holding be back from the Sony was the uncertainty around the HDMI 2.1 firmware and once Sony starting pushing that out I pulled the trigger.

I received my X900H from Costco on Monday. Unfortunately, after mounting I noticed a small cluster of dead pixels. I submitted an replacement request online and already received a new set yesterday. Overall, the process was super easy and quick.

I followed some recommended picture settings using a video on YouTube and tested it out with Ghosts of Tsushima and Warzone. I can say this TV is fantastic. For the price it can't be beat. It almost feels like next-gen is already here Ok

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'll certainly turn it on and check for dead pixel before the delivery crew leaves.

I agree with you, 4k/120hz/hdmi2.1 seems to be the future proof feature to have. The future is here!

Only regret was not being able to convince my wife to splurge on a 75", especially when it was $1500 from Costco during prime day.

Are you guys hanging the TV by yourself or getting someone to do it?

I hang tv by myself, I've done both stud and studless mount. The studless mount is easier but any TV heavier than 100lb makes me nervous. This seems to be a good one but hanging it is def a two person job as it's close to the wall and obstructed view

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I don't have anyone to help me with hanging so I will need to pay someone to come and hang. I don't think Costco's white glove service does that.
