But at the same price as a digital scale, why not have bluetooth to automatically track your weight?
I think you are missing the point about where WiFi is being used. It is to communicate with your phone and their app so you can track your weight over a period of time, for some people this can be useful.

I think for this item it's to track changes in your weight. Yes you could read it and remember what you were last time but having a charted graph (I think it makes a graph) is nice as well. To help make sure your on track or fluctuating.

I'm guessing it's that the RENPHO has the four metal contacts and the Wyze does not? I don't know if it really means anything since the contacts are where your feet should be, anyway, but maybe it means the Wyze is a little more accurate because it's less picky about where you stand?
Still, wondering if that's a good trade-off for saving $5 and getting a rechargeable battery.

Seems unlikely. It's $25. It may be pretty comparable to withings cheapest scale. The electrostatic body composition doesn't really work great until you get into the pricier scales. I have a eufy one, and the body fat % seems pretty sketchy
