New to projectors, 1080P @ 2400 lumens doesn't seem like a great deal? What am I missing?

That is a solid price for an excellent, albeit older projector. I'm looking to buy a new lamp for mine and for twice the price I can get another projector and lamp. lol

2,400 lumens is quite good. This is a 6 year old model so you aren't getting 4k. But it has excellent black levels and supports 3D.

If you're a 3D movies fan, it's a great way to get into the hobby. My Epson 5050ub is 2500 lumens on a 150" screen so it's a fantastic entry level man cave projector 👍

It says refurbished directly in the description. I'm not going to hold your hand every step of the way. FFS.
No need to get combative. Refurb is typically put in the title. Take the advice and move on.

This is one of Epson's most popular lines of projectors year over year. Even this model will produce an excellent picture. I have the 6030UB and absolutely love it. If you look up reviews, you will see that these have been favored by projector reviewers over the years and for good reason. I would say this is a good price. Given that it is refurbished, also check on eBay. Ever once in a while you will stumble onto a gem of a deal on some of these projectors that are a few years old from some sellers that have taken immaculate care of their equipment. I got my 6030UB by luck on Facebook marketplace for $750 packaged in all of the original packaging and including 2 brand new bulbs as well as sets of unopened 3D glasses. I don't regret the purchase for a second. Hope this helps. Best of luck

This is a steal. It's doubtful that you would be able to tell any difference between this model and the current model in the typical room. Maybe in a perfectly light controlled room, with back-to-back viewings of identical material, you could see a difference. But otherwise all you will experience is fantastic image quality.

Not saying this is not a good deal, but it has been this price for months.
